  • Publication number: 20190070906
Abstract: A tire is provided that has a tread with has a first material and a second material. The first material has a G* complex shear modulus at 60° C. that is greater than a G* complex shear modulus at 60° C. of the second material so that the first material is more rigid than the second material. The G* complex shear modulus at 60° C. of the second material is from 50%-88% of the G* complex shear modulus at 60° C. of the first material. The tread has a plurality of teardrop sipes that have a teardrop void that has a cross-sectional width. One of the teardrop sipes is located in the first material with the teardrop void cross-sectional width sized such that no more than five percent of the other teardrop sipes located in the second material have a larger than or equal teardrop void cross-sectional width.

  • Publication number: 20090061158
Abstract: An inventive top profile design of friction ridges on a top surface of grate bars in a swimming pool deck. The profiles exhibit a multiple of crosses with each cross having four quadrants. Within each of the quadrants there is located a first right angled profile which is open in an outward direction. Within each of the first right angled profile there is located a second smaller right angled profile which is also open in an outward direction. The above mentioned profiles repeat themselves along the entire length of the grate bars.

  • Publication number: 20070214144
Abstract: A system and a method for managing user and data profiles utilizing a web-enabled interactive database to organize, store and retrieve the information to create a consistent security model through centralized administration, are disclosed. The system captures various rules and pre-determined methodologies to provide on-line, up-to-date decisions to the users when users request access to a set of specific data or an application. The system further provides the capability to the user to request access to information that the user currently does not have access to, tracks the status of the request, obtains approval/disapproval decision from the data owner, implements the decision, and notifies requester within a reasonable time.

  • Publication number: 20070039095
Abstract: A sump body for a swimming pool is manufactured by injection molding. The sump body consists of at least three inwardly tapered section created for stackability and as a reinforcement. An upper thickened wall section has a top recess therein for receiving a grating therein. At the bottom of this thick walled section is a radially extending disc surrounding said sump body. There are at least two upper and lower ridges on said disc to act as a water barrier when installed in concrete. There is a lateral pipe connection flange directed inwardly to create a smooth outer contour of the sump body and to enhance the stackability of the sump body. At the bottom of the sump body there is located a drainage flange which is also directed inwardly into the sump body.

  • Patent number: 7061402
Abstract: An emergency vehicle warning system comprising a transmitter unit positioned within an emergency vehicle, and a receiver unit positioned within a passenger vehicle, wherein upon receipt of a radio frequency activation signal from the transmitter unit, an electronic chime within the receiver unit emits an audible alert, and thereby warns the driver of the passenger vehicle of the approaching emergency vehicle. The receiver unit additionally displays the relative position of the emergency vehicle upon a display panel. The receiver unit is additionally activated by sound waves associated with the siren of the emergency vehicle. The warning system alerts the driver to the approaching emergency vehicle before hearing the siren of the emergency vehicle, and thereby provides enough time for the driver of the passenger vehicle to safely pull over to the side of the road in order to allow the emergency vehicle to pass.

  • Patent number: 4581488
Abstract: A last number redial device which provides a valid dialing sequence/access code test, before the contents of a last number redial register are disturbed, is described. A first and a second register are alternately loaded with a first, threshold portion (N) of a telephone number (N+M) during a dialing sequence. The number of digits entered are counted. If the count is greater than a threshold amount (N+1), a toggle signal is produced indicating a valid number has been entered. A second, terminal portion of the telephone number produced during the dialing sequence is thereafter loaded to a third register. In this way, the entire number is loaded in the selected first or second register and the third register. If a last number redial sequence is initiated, the selected one of the first or second registers and the third register provide an output to the telephone line of the last dialed number.

  • Patent number: 4073619
Abstract: Gas is transferred for analysis from a sampling probe (15), which may be in the waste gas duct (14) of a steelmaking vessel (10), to remote analysers (31, 32, 33). A high transfer speed is achieved by passing the gas at a relatively high gas transfer rate from the sampling probe (15) along a relatively long first sampling duct (16), while a relatively short duct (25) takes gas at a relatively low gas transfer rate from the long duct to the analysers.

  • Patent number: 4032308
Abstract: In order to clean collected dust particles periodically from a filter, for example in a sampling line (16) for removing waste gases from a steelmaking process for analysis, the filter (17) is first pressurised on both sides and the pressure is then suddenly released on the inlet side of the filter (V8) to shock the deposited particles free of the filter element. A continuous reverse flow through the filter of purging gas may follow to clear dust from the system.
