  • Patent number: 6084029
Abstract: Adhesion promoters, adhesive compositions, and adhesive films that adhere well to polar materials contain the product of a reaction between a polyolefin grafted with an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride, and a polymeric and/or oligomeric polyamine. The reaction product may be blended with an ethylene polymer, such as a low density polyethylene, to form an adhesive composition that bonds well to polar substrates, such as polyurethane foam. The adhesive compositions may be extruded or cast to form adhesive films.
