  • Patent number: 11963473
Abstract: Various embodiments relate generally to computer vision and automation to autonomously identify and deliver for application a treatment to an object among other objects, data science and data analysis, including machine learning, deep learning, and other disciplines of computer-based artificial intelligence to facilitate identification and treatment of objects, and robotics and mobility technologies to navigate a delivery system, more specifically, to an agricultural delivery system configured to identify and apply, for example, an agricultural treatment to an identified agricultural object. In some examples, a method may include, receiving data representing a policy specifying a type of action for an agricultural object, selecting an emitter with which to perform a type of action for the agricultural object as one of one or more classified subsets, and configuring the agricultural projectile delivery system to activate an emitter to propel an agricultural projectile to intercept the agricultural object.

  • Patent number: 11163168
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium for managing beam shaping in gradient refractive index (GRIN) media are provided. In one aspect, a method includes specifying a field evolution throughout a gradient-index (GRIN) medium and generating a refractive index profile of the GRIN medium based on the specified field evolution in the GRIN medium. Diffraction effects are considered in solving for the refractive index profile. The index profile is found by specifying a desired beam transformation throughout the GRIN medium and solving a series of phase retrieval problems. The GRIN medium can be two-dimensional (2D) or three-dimensional (3D).

  • Patent number: 5655298
Abstract: A method for joining a tube and a plate includes forming a short connection stub which is integral to the plate. The stub is imperforate and has a cylindrical stub surface around the stub circumference and for engaging the tube. The distal stub edge is spaced from the plate and defines a circle. A cylindrical tube has an interior tube surface, an exterior tube surface and a tube end. The tube end is placed in telescoped relationship to the stub and the stub thereby contacts only one of the tube surfaces, i.e., the interior surface or the exterior surface. The tube and stub overlap at a junction. A substantially uniform force is then applied radially around the stub surface and the stub, the edge and the tube are urged simultaneously radially inwardly or outwardly with respect to the axis.
