  • Publication number: 20220389202
Abstract: A tread additive composition to be combined with a base composition for tire treads to achieve low rolling resistance includes an elastomeric component, a first additive component, and a second additive component. The elastomeric component includes a first silane-grafted polyolefine elastomer. The first additive component including a polymer carrier, a reinforcing filler, silane-terminated liquid polybutadienes, and one or more process activators. The second additive component including a butadiene rubber, a hydrocarbon resin, sulfur; and one or more accelerators. Advantageously, the tread additive composition can decrease rolling resistance and improve fuel economy when combined with a base tread composition as compared to treads formed from the base tread composition without the tread additive composition.

  • Publication number: 20170240034
Abstract: The invention relates to automotive weatherstrip material. More specifically, the invention utilizes thermo-expand-able microspheres in the sponge bulb member of the weatherstrip to produce a microcellular structure which provides a lower weight weatherstrip material with improved surface appearance and comparable stiffness to known materials for use in the auto-motive industry, and exhibiting a blown specific gravity of less than about 0.60 g/cc.

  • Patent number: 6019313
Abstract: An installation for connecting the output shaft of the engine and the input shaft of the transmission box together including a transmission shaft having a certain amount of flexural flexibility and including splines at one of its ends. The splined end being designed to be a sliding fit in a corresponding splined hub of the engine. Attaching the engine to the deck actualized by a system for articulated attachment which includes stand legs and rails fixed to the deck parallel to the shafts. The legs can slide with the engine after tilting.

  • Patent number: 5141051
Abstract: A connectable and releasable wet connect for transmitting electrical signals in a well drill string includes retrievable coacting telescoping male and female electrical connectors. A check valve allows downward passage of fluid through the drill string but prevents the upward flow of fluid. A check valve includes a valve seat surrounding the male member having shoulders for holding the seat in a drill string and sealing with a drill string. The check valve includes a valve element slidably and sealingly engaging the male member and sealingly engagable with the valve seat for blocking upward flow through the drill string.

  • Patent number: 5131464
Abstract: A connectable and releasable electrical wet connect for transmitting electrical signals in a well drill string includes retrievable coacting telescoping male and female member electrical connectors. The male member includes a support shoulder for supporting the wet connect in the drill string, a passageway for the flow of fluids, an electrical contact, a tapered and insulating seal and a fishing shoulder. The female member includes a telescopically engageable electrical receptacle, and a tapered and insulating female seal. The wet connect telescopically connects and disconnects in the drill string and electrically isolates the electrical signal transmitted through the wet connect from the fluid in the drill string.

  • Patent number: 5107939
Abstract: A method and apparatus for drilling a directional well by running and setting a retrievable steering tool in the drill pipe with a wireline conductor and removable supporting the upper end of the conductor from a fluid passing support seated on the shoulder inside the drill string. Telescopically inserting a single piece conductor wire into the drill pipe from the outside through a non-rotatable connection and into the drill string for raising the lowering the lower end of the single piece conductor in a telescopically and sealingly engaging connection to the wireline electrical conductor for transmitting communication from the steering tool to the well surface.
