  • Patent number: 10981446
Abstract: This invention provides an adjustable bracket that can be used to attach auxiliary fuel tanks and other tanks to the bottom of a trailer or vehicle. The adjustable nature of the bracket allows it to be used on a variety of trailers, with different widths. The adjustable bracket comprises two parts with one sliding inside of the other. Each part has several slots that can be lined to create a bracket that is the ideal length to span the distance between the side panels of a trailer or vehicle. The bracket has holes in the bottom through which the bracket can be attached to a mounting retainer or strap that holds the tank in place.

  • Patent number: 8318067
Abstract: A resin transfer molding process for an article incorporating a protective insert of polymer material such as polyether ether ketone (PEEK). A piece of PEEK material is cut and thermoformed to the required shape and then placed in position in a mold. A bead of elastomer material is formed around the edge of the insert to seal it against an internal wall of the mold in order to prevent resin tracking between the mold and insert faces during subsequent injection into the mold.

  • Publication number: 20060137992
Abstract: The invention provides a process for the separation of metals, the metals being comprised as the metal oxides in a mixed oxide sample, the process comprising: (i) adding the mixed oxide to a molten salt electrolyte and cathodically electrolysing the oxide, the potential of the cathode being controlled so as to favour oxygen ionisation over deposition of metal from the cations present in the molten salt, and the applied potential difference being such as to facilitate selective reduction of one metal oxide at the expense of other metal oxides; and (ii) separating the metal from the remaining metal oxides, wherein the metal oxides comprise oxides of metals from at least one of the transition metal, lanthanide or actinide series The process is applicable to mixed oxide samples comprising mixtures of two or more metal oxides, and a particular application is in the separation of zirconium and hafnium comprised in mixed zirconium and hafnium oxides, the removal of hafnium facilitating the use of the zirconium in fu

  • Publication number: 20050139474
Abstract: A process for reducing to metallic form metal oxides includes cathodically electrolysing the oxide in the presence of a molten salt electrolyte whilst controlling the potential of the cathode so as to favour oxygen ionisation over deposition of metal from the cations present in the molten salt, and an apparatus for performing the said process. The apparatus is free from bolted or screwed fittings and includes an electrochemical cell that includes a body or housing, a cathode container, and a cathode connector, wherein the body or housing is maintained as the cathode.
