    Abstract: A method for operating a power tool includes electronically braking a motor shaft of a brushless electric motor using a controller of the power tool. A spindle unit, positioned on the motor shaft, has a known rotational position relative to at least one pole of a plurality of poles of a rotor of the motor shaft. The method further includes stopping the motor shaft, using the controller, in a predetermined rotational position relative to a stator of the electric motor based on a detected position state of a plurality of position states as detected by a plurality of position sensors of the electric motor. The plurality of position states identify a rotational position of the rotor relative to the stator, and at the predetermined rotational position, a spindle lock of the power tool is configured to engage the spindle unit without additional rotation of the motor shaft.

    Abstract: A portable, battery-powered liquid sprayer includes a supply tank assembly, a base assembly, and a wand. The supply tank assembly holds a liquid to be sprayed. The base assembly is selectively coupled to the supply tank assembly. The base assembly receives and supports a motor, a pump that is driven by the motor, and a rechargeable battery that powers the motor. Based on a signal provided by a pressure switch that detects an outlet pressure of the pump, the motor drives the pump to drive the liquid from the supply tank assembly and to eject the liquid from the hose. The battery is removably coupled to the base assembly and is operable to supply power to the motor. A wand is connected to an outlet of the pump via a flexible hose whereby the wand is in fluid communication with the supply tank assembly.
