  • Publication number: 20070226930
Abstract: A cleaning apparatus includes a bracket assembly for securely attaching a handle to a block. The bracket assembly aids in securing the handle in a fixed position during use so that the handle will not loosen and/or disengage with use. The bracket assembly may include one or more flanges for engaging multiple sides of the block. The handle and the bracket assembly may be configured to allow the handle to be reversed so that it extends first from the back face of the block and then from the front face of the block.

  • Publication number: 20070180639
Abstract: A block is provided that includes a first and second bore on a first side. The first and second bores may converge. A handle may be inserted into the first bore. A securing element may be inserted into the second bore until it makes contact with the handle and when installed can limit rotation of the handle with respect to the block. When desired, the securing element can be removed and the handle can be removed from the block and position in the second bore. The securing element may be reinstalled in the first bore and again limit rotation of the handle with respect to the block.

  • Patent number: 7178681
Abstract: A display rack construction includes at least first and second grid assemblies in combination with a removable bracket assembly. The bracket assembly is designed to functionally join the grid assemblies and simultaneously act to support items for purposes of display. The combination of grid assemblies and bracket assembly provides a self-positioning display rack construction that is generally stable with respect to lateral movement of the individual grid assemblies.

  • Publication number: 20070000080
Abstract: A bracket assembly for use with cleaning implements such as push brooms has a handle connector for mounting a handle and a plate with a pair of depending flanges that are inserted into the broom head. The bracket assembly may be removably secured to the broom head with a fastener such as bolt and nut to provide an attachment mechanism having sufficient strength to withstand repeated sweeping motion. The removable bracket allows the arrangement of the handle and broom head to be reversed so that both faces of the broom head and bristles can be used interchangeably for sweeping. The removable bracket can be used with cleaning implements having heads of various dimensions and shapes.

  • Publication number: 20060016032
Abstract: A mop with an attached wringer cup has a set of perforations near the outwardly tapering lower end of the wringer cup. The wringer cup includes a rib. Along a side portion of the rib a plurality of perforations may be provided. In an embodiment the perforations may increase in size toward the end of the wringer cup. A connector may be provided to secure the mop head to the handle. In an embodiment the connector may accept a collar without requiring the collar to have a particular rotation orientation.

  • Publication number: 20050044652
Abstract: A dust pan has both an elongate handle and a receptacle for a removable long handle. The elongate handle may be unitary with and extend rearwardly from a back wall on the dust pan. The receptacle may be disposed along an upright back wall of the dust pan, and may include a set of internal thread segments beneath an extended channel, enabling the receptacle to accommodate either a threaded ¾? diameter handle, or a 1? diameter handle.

  • Patent number: 6393647
Abstract: A broom has a handle, a broom head, a bracket for securing the handle against rotation, and a plug for securing the bracket to the broom head. The handle has a segmented locking section near its mounting end, and can be attached to either of two opposed apertures in the broom head. The bracket has a pair of spaced-apart arms with locking faces that can engage the faces on the locking section. To enable the locking faces to engage onto the locking section from a radial direction, the open ends of the locking arms are spaced apart by a distance at least equal to the minor chord of the locking section. The bracket also has a locking aperture that allows it to be secured to the broom head by fastening the plug to the unused opposed aperture.

  • Patent number: 6321409
Abstract: A mop has a handle and a mop head including a set of mop fibers attached to a connector. The connector includes a strap extending from a base plate. The strap includes a molded curved section between an end and a section of relatively flexibility. The end of the strap includes barbs that allow it to be anchored to a slot in the base plate, binding the mop fibers in place. The connector has a rigid stem that fits within an open lower end of a broom handle. The stem includes a button on a deformable web, which seats in a sidewall aperture on the handle to releasably secure the connector to the handle.
