Patent number: 11154221Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for measuring and analyzing muscle flexibility to infer a change in gait. Muscle flexibility measurements are obtained using at least one sensor of a device attached to a body of a user. A flexibility quotient is calculated based on the obtained muscle flexibility measurements, user information, a type of activity, a workout duration and baseline data. A change in flexibility based on the calculated flexibility quotient and a baseline flexibility quotient is determined. A change in gait is inferred based on the determined change in flexibility and is reported to the user.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2018Date of Patent: October 26, 2021Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Paul R. Patent number: 10614145Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for presenting content on a webpage in a desired format. The webpage(s) previously visited by a user are identified. The format of the content (e.g., tables, graphs) on these webpage(s) is then determined. Furthermore, a future webpage the user will likely visit is determined. Additionally, the format of the content on the future webpage the user will likely visit is determined. The format of the content on the webpage the user is currently visiting is then modified to ensure consistency of the format of the content among the webpage(s) the user previously visited, the future webpage the user will likely visit and the webpage the user is currently visiting.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2017Date of Patent: April 7, 2020Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Paul R. Publication number: 20190290178Abstract: Methods and systems are provided to identify an individual's health risk of developing a disease or disorder, and to motivate the user to adopt a behavioral change to mitigate the progression of the identified disease or disorder. An individual's medical history is analyzed to determine diseases that a user is at risk of developing, as well as positive and negative behaviors of the user relating to the disease. For a negative behavior, the system identifies a behavioral change that is to be promoted to the individual through a cohort. The system then sends notifications to the cohort, for the cohort to promote the behavioral change to the individual via a client system associated with the individual. Methods and systems are also provided to send notifications to a cohort to promote maintaining the behavioral change to reduce the likelihood that the individual will revert to former behavior.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 23, 2018Publication date: September 26, 2019Inventors: Paul R. Publication number: 20190244177Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for automatically arranging an event's agenda. Profiles are collected for attendees of the event, wherein the profiles include the attendees' social relationships, working relationships and job functions. The attendees' social relationships are analyzed to generate a social relationship graph that includes weightings for the attendees based on how well known they are to others of the attendees. The attendees' working relationships are analyzed to generate an organizational chart that includes the attendees' positions. The attendees' job functions are analyzed to generate rankings for the attendees based on task dependencies. An order for topics on the agenda is suggested according to the rankings for the attendees; introductions are suggested for the agenda according to the weightings for the attendees in the social relationship graph; and keynote speeches are suggested for the agenda according to the attendees' positions in the organizational chart.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2018Publication date: August 8, 2019Inventors: Paul R. Publication number: 20190163870Abstract: Effective self-assessment, for example of pain, is provided. In various embodiments, one or more image of a patient is read from a designated social media account. One or more patient interest is determined from the designated social media account. One or more additional image is selected based on the one or more patient interest. Sentiments are determined for the one or more image of the patient and the one or more additional image. Based on the sentiments, scores are determined for the one or more image of the patient and for the one or more additional image. The one or more image of the patient and the one or more additional image are displayed to the patient. A selection among the one or more image of the patient and the one or more additional image is received from the patient.
