  • Patent number: 7925886
Abstract: A hashing method and system. The method comprises receiving by a computing system first source data. A first hash function is applied to first source data. A first hash output is generated by the first hash function as a result of applying the first hash function to first source data. The computing system performs an operation relating the first source data with at least a portion of the first hash output to generate second source data. The first hash function is applied to the second source data. A second hash output is generated as a result of applying the first hash function to the second source data.

  • Patent number: 7694147
Abstract: A hashing method and system. The method comprises receiving by a computing system, a user password. The computing system generates a first hash for the user password. The computing system generates a second hash for a system parameter and performs an operation relating the first hash to the second hash to generate a first combination value. The computing system generates a third hash for the first combination value. The computing system receives a specific password for requesting access to the computing system. The computing system generates a fourth hash for said specific password and performs an operation relating the fourth hash to the second hash to generate a second combination value. The computing system generates a fifth hash for the second combination value. The third hash is compared to the fifth hash to determine that the third hash matches the fifth hash. Access is enabled to the computing system.

  • Patent number: 6553810
Abstract: A test device for measuring chemical emissions to the atmosphere from a leaking component that includes a housing containing an air mover for drawing ambient air directly into the housing. The air mover is capable of operating at a high flow rate and a low flow rate depending upon a switch state or valve position. A detector for detecting the presence of a chemical emission is positioned within the housing as well as a calculator for measuring the concentration of the chemical emission. Air is drawn directly into a housing at a low flow rate in a survey mode and once a leak is detected air is drawn directly into the housing at a high flow rate in a quantification mode. During the quantification mode the calculator determines a leak rate from the leaking component or alternatively indicates that the calculated leak rate is unreliable.
