  • Patent number: 11925723
Abstract: Antimicrobial metal ion coatings and implants including them. In particular, described herein are coatings including an anodic metal (e.g., silver and/or zinc and/or copper) that is co-deposited with a cathodic metal (e.g., palladium, platinum, gold, molybdenum, titanium, iridium, osmium, rhodium, manganese, niobium or rhenium) on a substrate so that the anodic metal is galvanically released as antimicrobial ions when the apparatus is exposed to a bodily fluid. The anodic metal may be at least about 25 percent by volume of the coating, resulting in a network of anodic metal with less than 20% of the anodic metal in the coating fully encapsulated by cathodic metal. The implant may be configured as an implant such as a bone-screw or intramedullary rod-like body configured to receive a treatment cartridge having a coating as described.

  • Publication number: 20120324377
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided that enable a user interface of a web development tool to be customized for a web application. A plurality of objects that define a web application is received. The objects are determined to include a customization file that includes a definition for at least one user interface element as a customization to a graphical user interface. The customization file is parsed to receive the user interface element definition(s). A graphical user interface is generated for display that is configured to be interacted with by a user to enable the web application to be developed. The graphical user interface includes one or more user interface element based on the user interface element definition(s) as customizations to the graphical user interface.

  • Patent number: 7326151
Abstract: A bicycle trainer adapted to support a conventional bicycle with the front wheel removed. The bicycle is attached to a pivot frame at the front forks and the rear axle. The pivot frame is pivotably attached to the base frame and supported in a substantially upright position by springs. Both the bicycle and pivot frame pivot about an imaginary tire contact-line, which simulates real bicycle riding conditions associated with bicycle sprinting and hill climbing.

  • Patent number: 4917408
Abstract: A pipe fitting for interconnecting two sections of pipe and comprising an interior male portion having a band of flexible material bonded to the outer surface, a female portion, and end of which is positioned over and slidably engaged over the elasomeric ring, to allow rotative movement of the female portion with respect to the male portion, so that an angle of deflection may be achieved between the first section of pipe and the second section of pipe engaged into the fitting. There is further provided means on the interior of the fitting for allowing unrestricted flow of fluid at least in a single direction through the fitting as the fitting is deviated through the range of angles in its use.
