Patent number: 8910766Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi-disc clutch for the transfer of torque between a first clutch part and a second clutch part, having at least one first and at least one second disc that engage on another and that are movable parallel to a rotational axis of the multi-disc clutch, and having a reset device for the receiprocal ventilation of adjacent discs. The first clutch part is connected in a rotationally secure fashion to the first disc and the second clutch part is connected in a rotationally secure fashion to the second disc. The reset device has at least two reset elements that are disposed eccentrically relative to the rotational axis and distributed in the circumferential direction.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2013Date of Patent: December 16, 2014Assignee: Magna Powertrain AG & Co AGInventors: August Kriebernegg, Alois Lafer, Robert Luef, Johannes Quenhenberger, Helmuth Sachsenmaier

Patent number: 8678158Abstract: A torque transmission arrangement including a primary shaft, a friction clutch, a housing in which the primary shaft is rotatably supported by a roller element bearing including an inner ring and an outer ring. An actuator is disposed in the housing between the friction clutch and the roller element bearing for actuating the friction clutch. The actuator comprises a fixed support element, an adjusting element axially offset from the support element and displaceable for engaging the friction clutch, and an actuating mechanism designed for displacing the adjusting element relative to the support element in an axial adjusting direction away from the roller element bearing. The roller element bearing is designed as a tapered roller bearing, and the support element is operationally connected to the tapered roller bearing.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2010Date of Patent: March 25, 2014Assignee: Magna Powertrain AG & Co KGInventors: Helmuth Sachsenmaier, Hannes Sperker, Robert Luef

Publication number: 20100089199Abstract: A torque transfer device for a motor vehicle has an input element, at least one output element, a friction clutch for the setting of a torque transfer from the input element to the output element and an actuator. The actuator includes a drive motor, a reduction gear unit and a ramp ring mechanism. The ramp ring mechanism has at least one rotatable first actuator ring which is made to convert a rotary movement into an axial actuation of the friction clutch. The reduction gear unit has a worm gear having a worm and a spur gear section meshing with the worm, with the worm being coupled to the drive motor and the spur gear section being coupled to or made in one piece with the rotatable first actuator ring. The axis of rotation of the worm is inclined by an oblique position angle with respect to the rotational plane of the spur gear section, with the oblique position angle substantially corresponding to the pitch angle of the worm. The spur gear section has a straight toothed section.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 12, 2009Publication date: April 15, 2010Applicant: MAGNA POWERTRAIN AG & CO KGInventors: Alois Lafer, Robert Luef
