  • Patent number: 5573278
Abstract: An identification and information carrying assembly for use with a fire/rescue personnel accountability system includes a folded sheet of information-carrying material covered and sealed within transparent thermoplastic laminates. A cord is attached to the laminates, and a connector is attached to the cord for enabling the assembly to be removably fastened to fire/rescue helmets, clothing or other objects. Confidential medical information and/or medication contained within the folded sheet of laminated material is accessed by cutting the laminates along three edges of the folded sheet to permit the folded sheet to open like a book. The folded sheet of material can be resealed by use of clear adhesive tape along the three edges, and the confidential medical information and/or medication can be accessed again and again by such cutting and resealing.

  • Patent number: 5133482
Abstract: An improved valve assembly is provided for use in dispensing liquids, particularly such as flavored syrup and the like in a soft drink dispenser station. The valve assembly comprises a compact unit adapted to mount directly into the neck of a bottle containing a flavor syrup, wherein the bottle is designed for inverted installation into the dispenser station with the neck seated within a mating support socket. The valve assembly includes parallel dispense and vent ports, together with a dispense valve for regulating syrup outflow and a check valve for permitting air inflow. The dispense valve comprises the armature of a solenoid actuator, the coil of which is integrated with the support socket and adapted for connection to an electrical current for displacing the dispense valve to an open position and thereby permit gravity syrup flow from the bottle.

  • Patent number: 4719852
Abstract: An improved aircraft trash compactor having an elongated inner chamber which is separated into front and rear chamber sections by means of a movable door or wall disposed transversely across the width of the chamber. The movable door or wall supports the rear panel of the trash container in the front chamber section during the compaction of trash therein and may be moved to an out-of-the-way position to allow the filled trash container to be moved into the rear chamber section for storage or disposal. The filled trash container in the rear chamber section supports the rear panel of a trash container in the front chamber section during the compaction of trash therein.

  • Patent number: 4700623
Abstract: This invention is directed to a trash compactor suitable for use in aircraft and aerospace vehicles. The compactor includes improved hydraulic power and control systems which provide short compaction cycle times and high compaction ratios and which has integrated means to loosen trash containers from the supporting walls of the compacting chamber at the completion of the compaction cycle so that the filled trash containers can be readily removed from the compactor.
