Patent number: 11768132Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for wastewater sampling in all climates. The wastewater sampling apparatus pulls a sample from a stream or other body of water based on flow or time maintaining a consistent, repeatable, and accurate sample size. The present invention includes an all-weather housing. An integrated touchscreen control provides the ability to specify the volumes of water and program times and/or flow intervals to collect samples. Controls also allow control of the temperature within the sample compartment, both from the unit directly or from an external device. The present invention includes arcuate sample chamber and pivoting sample tube for accurate wastewater volume samples. The present invention may pull samples with vertical lifts of up to 29 feet or more and provide consistent accurate sampling exceeding current EPA transport velocity.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2023Date of Patent: September 26, 2023Assignee: Emerald Coast Manufacturing, LLCInventors: Ronnie E. Jones, Robert M. Gilliom

Patent number: 8103881Abstract: The present invention provides a system, method and apparatus for securely granting access to an event. For example, in one embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus, such as an electronic card, ticket or information carrier, contains biometric data about a user. When the “ticket” is purchased or authenticated, event access information is stored on the electronic card or ticket by an entity authorized by the event provider. The user is allowed access to the event when the biometric data stored on the electronic card or ticket matches the user's biometric data and the event access information is validated. The user's biometric data is authenticated via a biometric sensor on the electronic card or ticket. The user's biometric data can also be authenticated by the entity granting access to the event.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2003Date of Patent: January 24, 2012Assignee: Innovation Connection CorporationInventors: Ralph O. Patent number: 7765881Abstract: A programmable liquid sampler for obtaining and digitally analyzing multiple, sequential samples in real time from an external source of liquid to be analyzed comprises an adaptive feedback algorithm for correcting sample weight measurements occasioned by vacuum delays. A sampling assembly receives and at least temporarily stores a sample drawn by suction through an air port that can also pressurize the chamber. A load cell determines sample mass through a logic controller that implements adaptive feedback by recognizing a desired target sample size, requesting an initial sample, and measuring the initial sample size. A variable scaling factor is derived by comparing the target sample size to said measured sample size and the subsequent requesting size is scaled. Samples can be stored in multiple compartments of a radial table that is indexed by the computer software for proper sample control.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2007Date of Patent: August 3, 2010Assignee: Electric Pump, Inc.Inventors: John Kevin Miller, Tony Ray Sage, Robert M. Gilliom
