  • Patent number: 5236161
Abstract: A paint roller tray is releasably attached to a side rail of the ladder by means of a bracket and clamping mechanism, the clamping mechanism being releasably engageable to either side rail and slidable along the slide rail as the painter moves up and down the ladder. The paint roller tray comprises an enlarged receptacle portion and a relatively narrow rectangular support portion which is releasably mounted on the bracket of the ladder attachment, and a brush holder is provided for releasably securing a brush to the support portion when the brush is not in use.

  • Patent number: 4356812
Abstract: A solar heating assembly includes a fluid receiver movable between a thermally insulated compartment and a transparent enclosure for exposure to the rays of the sun. The transparent enclosure is adjacent the reflecting surface of a reflector for focusing the rays of the sun on the fluid receiver. An insulated door is pivotally connected to the thermally insulated compartment and is movable between a position permitting communication between the thermally insulated compartment and the transparent enclosure and a position thermally sealing the insulated compartment. The receiver engages the insulated door for pivoting the door open as the receiver moves from the insulated compartment to the transparent enclosure, and a cable guided by a series of pulleys connects the receiver to the door for closing the door as the receiver moves from the transparent enclosure to the insulated compartment.

  • Patent number: 4139103
Abstract: A safety mechanism for a mine car coupling which includes a draw pin, a pin guide connected to a first mine car with an essentially vertical opening therein for receiving the draw pin, a space beneath the pin guide for receiving a link connected to a second mine car, the link having an opening therein for receiving the draw pin. The draw pin includes an upper shoulder which will engage an upper surface of the pin guide and hold the draw pin in its lower position for insertion through the link opening to couple the cars together. The safety mechanism includes a first interposer pivotally connected to the first car at a point below the upper shoulder of the draw pin and projecting above the upper shoulder a predetermined, distance when the pin is in its lower position.
