  • Patent number: 5022617
Abstract: A valet for supporting articles of clothing and related accessories in a convenient and readily accessible position to enable such articles to be readily at hand when dressing or for supporting such articles temporarily when not in use. The valet includes a stand having a vertically disposed tubular standard telescopically receiving a post with unique latch structures to retain the post in extended position and to prevent it from being totally extracted from the tubular standard which receives it when in collapsed position. The upper end of the post is provided with a laterally extending support arm that can be pivoted from a vertical stored position to a horizontal operative position and securely retained in this position for supporting a plurality of clothes hangers or other articles. The support arm is pivotal and slidable for nesting within a lateral recess in the side of the post to enable the post to be completely telescoped into the tubular standard.

  • Patent number: 4868516
Abstract: An improved alternating current amplifier employs capacitive feedback to balance the intrinsic input capacitance, and a multiplier circuit responsive to a digital control signal coupled in the feedback path to vary the effective capacitance of the capacitive feedback. Thus, the frequency response of the amplifier may be adjusted and set digitally, such as under computer control, obviating the need to make manual adjustments to improve amplifier performance.

  • Patent number: 4825519
Abstract: A machine for assembling awning slats having a front longitudinal side edge portion curled downwardly and rearwardly along the length of the slat, and having a rear longitudinal side edge portion curled upwardly and forwardly along the length of the slat in the complementing configuration, has a pair of aligned anvils for receiving two side-by-side slats which are interfitted by their front and rear curled side edge portions. Punching units form locking tabs and registering cutouts in the interfitting side edge portions of the slats on the anvils and then the slats are advanced laterally a slat width by slat shifting units to receive another interfitting slat fed longitudinally onto the anvils. Slat hold-down units cooperate with the anvils during the slat punching and feeding operations.

  • Patent number: 4815761
Abstract: A device for use in making beach entry scuba dives by assisting the diver to transport scuba tanks and other diving gear across a beach or like land area and then serve as an off-shore floating work platform and dive flag holder has a quadrilateral frame, a roller unit and a handler unit. The frame is formed of hollow tubing and includes a force member, an aft member, and a pair of side members. The roller unit includes first and second arms that extend from the frame beyond the aft member, a buoyant roller, and bearings rotatably supporting the roller between the arms outboard of and parallel to the aft member. The handler unit includes third and fourth arms that extend from the frame beyond the fore member and a tubular handle member supported by the third and fourth arms outboard of the fore member. The frame carries a support surface and straps to support and retain tanks and other gear on the device.

  • Patent number: 4620521
Abstract: The ignition system for providing spark ignition to the cylinders of an internal combustion engine includes a generator assembly adapted to be mounted on said engine. This generator assembly includes a magneto adapted to be driven in response to the operation of the engine to provide output power and a timing unit including at least one rotatable unit driven in timing relationship to the operation of said engine. A control assembly is removably mounted on the generator assembly and incorporates an ignition control circuit connected to receive power from the magneto and operative in response to the timing unit to provide spark ignition to specific cylinders of the internal combustion engine. The control assembly is removable from the generator assembly without altering the timing relationship between rotatable unit and engine.

  • Patent number: 4404951
Abstract: The ignition control box assembly is adapted to be retrofit onto an internal combustion engine and to maintain a hose for the engine against movement in all directions while providing electrical shielding for transformer assemblies mounted within the control box. A metallic chamber wall is formed integrally with back, top and bottom walls for an open sided housing, and extends from the backwall into the housing to form two separate compartments. The compartments are electrically shielded by two spaced metal walls formed by the chamber wall and the air gap provided by an open ended chamber defined by the chamber wall which extends angularly and vertically across the housing. The open side of the housing is closed and sealed by a removable closure assembly.

  • Patent number: 3974816
Abstract: An electronic ignition control system including one coil assembly having a high number of turns to charge the associated capacitors to a desired level when the speed of the engine is low, and another coil assembly having a low number of turns to charge the capacitors to a desired level when the speed of the engine is high to thereby provide energy at a suitable level to fire the associated spark plugs. The system also includes means for regulating the voltage supplied by the alternator coils to a battery and thus preventing the battery from overcharging; and, means are provided for driving a tachometer proportionally to the firing pulses supplied to the spark plugs.
