  • Publication number: 20160135590
Abstract: A table includes a support column defining an axis, a base supporting the support column, a worksurface supported by the support column such that the work surface is rotatable relative to the base about the axis of the support column. The table further includes a rotation mechanism including a swing arm housing coupled to the worksurface. The swing arm housing is rotatable in a first angular direction about the axis to rotate the worksurface in a second angular direction about the axis.

  • Patent number: 9271569
Abstract: A table includes a vertical support column and a base. The base includes a first floor engaging portion disposed on a first side of a vertical axis and a second floor engaging portion disposed on an opposite second side of the vertical axis. The first and second floor engaging portions are weighted such that the base has a center of gravity spaced from the vertical axis on the second side of the vertical axis. A worksurface member is supported by the vertical support column and is vertically spaced from the base. The worksurface member is rotatable relative to the base. In one aspect, the worksurface member has an overall length greater than the overall length of the base. In another aspect, a stop limits rotation of the worksurface member.

  • Publication number: 20110248543
Abstract: An armrest includes a stem and a sleeve defining a cavity. At least a portion of the stem is received in the cavity, with the stem being moveable relative to the sleeve. The sleeve includes opposite side walls defining in part the cavity, wherein at least one of the side walls includes a plurality of vertically spaced recesses. A carrier is moveably coupled to the stem. At least one lock member is carried by the carrier and is moveable relative to the carrier between a locked position and an unlocked position as the carrier is moved. The at least one lock member is received in at least one of the vertically spaced recesses when moved to the locked position. The at least one lock member is displaced from the vertically spaced recesses when moved to the unlocked position. A method of adjusting the armrest is also provided, as well as an adjustable arm support supported by the stem and methods for the use thereof.

  • Publication number: 20090108660
Abstract: An adjustable armrest includes a base member pivotable about a first horizontal axis in a side-to-side direction. An arm support member is connected to the base member. A first latch member includes a plurality of notches, while a second latch member includes a pawl shaped to releasably engage at least one of the plurality of notches. One of the first or second latch members is mounted on the base member, with the second latch member being moveable relative to the first latch member between at least one engaged position and a release position. In another aspect, a chair includes a pair of adjustable armrests. In another aspect, a method of adjusting the lateral position of an armrest is provided.

  • Publication number: 20030005654
Abstract: A workstation comprising a beam having a length and comprising longitudinally extending first and second channels. The first channel is spaced apart from the second channel in a substantially parallel relationship therewith. A first component has an insert portion disposed in the first channel, and the second component has an insert portion disposed in the second channel. In one preferred embodiment, a second beam is spaced apart from the first beam in a substantially parallel relationship therewith. The second beam has a length and comprises longitudinally extending first and second channels, wherein the first channel of the second beam is spaced apart from the second channel of the second beam in a substantially parallel relationship therewith.
