Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system and computer-readable medium are disclosed for linking an ontology provided by a content service (i.e. category ontology) with a word expansion ontology (i.e. lexical ontology). A user may provide an input such as a voice command to an application. The voice command is processed by a natural language processing (NLP) engine to derive the user's intent and to extract relevant entities embodied in the command. The NLP engine may create a composite concept set containing multiple permutations of the concepts (entities extracted) and provide the composite concept set to a concept mapper. The concept mapper searches a mapping file and applies one or more scoring operations to determine a best match between the composite concept set and at least one category provided by the category ontology. The content service is searched using the category and the results are displayed to the user.

Abstract: An elastic composite article and methods of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The elastic composite article includes a pair of coverwebs, a plurality of elastic filaments located between the pair of coverwebs. One or both of the pair of coverwebs is a nonwoven fibrous coverweb with a tear pattern of weakened areas formed therein. The tear patterns are formed before the coverwebs are attached to each other to form the elastic composite article.

Abstract: A compression bandaging system comprising a) an inner skin facing, elongated, elastic bandage comprising: (i) an elongated, elastic substrate and (ii) an elongated layer of foam, said foam layer being affixed to a face of said substrate and extending 33% or more across said face of substrate in transverse direction and 67% or more across said face of substrate in longitudinal direction; and b) an outer, elongated, self-adhering elastic bandage; said bandage having a compressive force when extended; wherein, in use, said foam layer of the inner bandage faces the skin and the outer bandage overlies the inner bandage.

Abstract: Nonwoven abrasive articles, particularly lofty nonwoven abrasive articles, with a textured, non-planar surface and an abrasive coating thereon. The coating may cover the entire surface or only portions of the surface. The textured surface, composed of peaks or high regions and valleys or recessed regions, provides improved cut performance over nonwoven abrasive articles having a generally planar abrading surface.

Abstract: A laminated composite suitable for use in medical products such as tapes and wraps. The composite includes, for example, a first nonwoven fiber layer, an elastic layer, a melt blown adhesive fiber layer, and a second nonwoven fiber layer. A scrim layer serves as a deadstop, or stretch limit, to prevent over stretching. The non-woven fiber layer(s) and/or the scrim layer form suitable loops for a hook and loop fastening system. The scrim layer in some embodiments is employed to make the composite finger tearable. The melt blown adhesive layer, nonwoven web layer and elastic layer form a breathable, porous elastic composite. Methods of manufacturing the composite are also disclosed.
