  • Publication number: 20250243875
Abstract: A controlled area progression diffuser for a compressor may be defined by a bearing diffuser face of a bearing housing and a compressor diffuser face of a compressor housing that are spaced apart by a diffuser width, and airflow from a compressor wheel enters the controlled area progression diffuser through a diffuser inlet, flows between the diffuser faces, and flows out of a diffuser outlet to a volute. The diffuser faces may be shaped so that the diffuser width decreases as the controlled area progression diffuser extends radially away from the compressor wheel toward the volute so that an annulus area of the controlled area progression diffuser does not increase linearly for at least a portion of a radial length of the controlled area progression diffuser.

  • Publication number: 20230349385
Abstract: A rotating machine for delivering a working fluid to a system includes a compressor housing defining a compressor housing interior and partially defining a flow path. The rotating machine also includes a shaft and a compressor wheel disposed in the compressor housing interior. The rotating machine additionally includes a backplate coupled to the compressor housing and further defining the flow path. The backplate and the compressor housing are configured to direct working fluid from the compressor housing interior through the flow path. The backplate defines a working fluid connection adjacent the compressor wheel and/or the flow path such that the working fluid connection is fluidly coupled to the flow path and such that the compressor wheel delivers working fluid from the compressor housing interior and the working fluid connection to the flow path.

  • Patent number: 11173073
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for monitoring incontinence events using inexpensive sensors coupled to an incontinence brief worn by a patient. In some examples of the disclosed technology, a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag is queried to return a sensor value indicating a level of moisture in an incontinence brief. A mobile device carried by a patient caregiver analyzes the sensor value and provides a display indicating a course of action to take, for example, whether to change the patient's incontinence brief.

  • Patent number: 11104214
Abstract: A roll tarp system for a truck or trailer having a container with a rear door. The roll tarp system includes a roll tarp mounted to an axle assembly and a cable coupler assembly coupled to the axle assembly. A flexible cable connects the cable coupler assembly to a rear arm which is pivotally attached to the rear door. The cable coupler assembly includes first and second hinge members and is rotatably coupled to the axle assembly to permit unrolling and rolling up of the tarp and to permit opening of the rear door in a sideways or upward direction. The cable coupler assembly may include one or more apertures to permit access to a manual drive shaft which passes through the cable coupler assembly.

Abstract: A roller tarp system for covering a truck bed includes a first pivot arm assembly pivotally coupled to one side of the truck bed and a second pivot arm assembly pivotally coupled to an opposite side of the truck bed. A generally hollow and cylindrical tarp spool extends along a longitudinal axis between opposite first and second ends. The tarp spool is rotatably coupled between the first and second pivot arm assemblies for rotatably supporting a flexible tarp cover. A drive assembly is housed within the tarp spool adjacent one of the first and second ends. The drive assembly is operatively coupled between one of the first and second pivot arm assemblies and the tarp spool for selectively rotating the tarp spool and actuating the tarp system between an open position uncovering the truck bed and a closed position covering the truck bed.

  • Patent number: 10292624
Abstract: A method and system for generating a three-dimensional scan of an object using a handheld scanner is disclosed. The method involves obtaining images of the object from a successive plurality of handheld scanner positions with respect to the object, and processing the images to generate a respective 3D frame for each of the plurality of handheld scanner positions. Each 3D frame includes data representing locations of a plurality of 3D points on a surface of the object. The method further involves comparing each successive 3D frame with at least one preceding 3D frame, determining whether a result of the comparison meets a correspondence criterion associated with generation of a 3D representation of the surface of the object, and initiating a recovery process when the correspondence criterion is not met.
