  • Publication number: 20240081708
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a self-learning bladder volume monitoring system. The system can include a bladder volume (BV) system configured to measure an electrical impedance of a bladder region of a patient and determine a volume of fluid disposed therein using an impedance to bladder volume model (“By model”). Further, the system can measure a total body water (“TBW”) for the patient and modify the BV model to account for variations in TBW within the tissues surrounding the bladder providing a more accurate bladder volume measurement. The system can include a “training unit” which can include one of a user input interface, an automatic urine output monitoring system, an ultrasound system, and an intrabladder pressure system configured to verify a volume of fluid within or voided from the bladder and train the BV model.

  • Patent number: 6688691
Abstract: The invention relates to a seat (1) for an aircraft comprising a squab (2), a backrest (3), a leg rest (4), a support structure (5) for the squab (2) and the backrest (3), and a fixed rear separation shell (13). The support structure (5) or the squab (2) moveable in translation in a direction substantially perpendicular to the backrest (3) in the vertical position. The seat (1) is situated in a space lying between a fixed front separation shell (12) and a fixed rear separation shell (13). The movements of each of the components (2, 3, 4) of the seat are independent of each other and the fixed separation shells (12, 13).

  • Publication number: 20020109385
Abstract: The invention relates to a seat (1) for an aircraft comprising a squab (2) adjustable for inclination, a backrest (3) adjustable for inclination, a leg rest (4) adjustable for inclination, a support structure (5) for the squab (2) and the backrest (3) and a fixed rear separation shell (13), the said support structure (5) or the squab (2) being able to move in translation in a direction substantially perpendicular to the backrest (3) in the vertical position, the said seat (1) being situated in a space lying between a fixed front separation shell (12) and a fixed rear separation shell (13), the said seat extending close to the fixed rear separation shell (13) in the straight take-off and landing position (A) in which the squab (2) is substantially horizontal, the backrest (3) and the leg rest (4) being substantially vertical.

  • Patent number: 6260917
Abstract: Apparatus for a swiveling a tray mounted in the back of an aircraft seat. The apparatus has a tube oriented transverse to the seat back around which the tray swivels. A tray is pivotably attached to the tube. A pair of bushes protrude outward from each end os the tube. Each bush ends in a generally mushroom shaped protrusion which is set off by an adjacent undercut defining a stressing and guiding zone. An elastic spring contained within a housing is mounted on the aircraft. The mounted spring has upward directed Y-shaped openings sized to receive and engage the protrusion at the backlash elimination zone and engage the protrusions and the tube. This spring grips and hold the protrusions which secures the tube. This arrangement permits the tube and its attached tray to be quickly and easily attached or removed from the seat. A transmission element in the form of an extending arm is also pivotably attached to the tube.

  • Patent number: 5788183
Abstract: A device for a seat, in particular an aircraft seat, the seat having a back that pivots between an upright sitting position and a folded-down sleeping position, the device serving to cause the seat proper of the seat to take up an appropriate position that matches that of the back. The device includes two support-and-drive assemblies designed to be disposed laterally on either side of the seat, each assembly having first and second hinged and deformable mechanical linkages designed to be associated mechanically firstly with the back to pivot relative thereto, and secondly with the seat proper in portions thereof that are respectively proximal and distal relative to the back.

  • Patent number: 4320973
Abstract: A highly luminous device for interferential spectrometry, comprises a birefringent beam-splitting interferometer combined with an optical system supplying localized fringes. As the beam-splitter element, it has at least one birefringent prism mounted along the optical axis of the device and producing an angular splitting, such as a Wollaston prism, of materials suitable for the construction of such prisms and selected as a function of birefringence and transparent over a wide range of wave lengths. The beam-splitter is placed between a polarizer and an analyzer of variable orientation to obtain flux modulation.

  • Patent number: 4297912
Abstract: A control device comprises an actuating push button slidable in a housing. A traction element, also slidable in the housing, is secured to the head of a flexible sheathed wire or cable. The traction element has an inclined surface which is engaged by a ball displaced by actuation of the push button whereby to cause displacement of the traction element and of the wire or cable connected thereto.
