    Abstract: A hand held appliance including a handle having an outer wall, an inner structure disposed within the outer wall and an end wall extending across the outer wall wherein the end wall is attached to the handle via the inner structure and the end wall extends away from the outer wall. The handle may have a longitudinal axis along which the outer wall extends; the end wall may extend away from the outer wall towards the longitudinal axis. The end wall may extend from the outer wall towards the longitudinal axis as the end wall extends away from the outer wall and may taper as it extends away from the outer wall. The end wall may be frustoconical in shape. The end wall may include at least one first attachment member that extends from the end wall to engage with one or more cooperating attachment members of the inner structure.

The power supply for the motor may be substantially diametrically opposite the power supply for the heater when the wiring assembly extends passed the motor. When the wiring assembly extends passed the motor, the wiring assembly may be located between the outer wall and the inner wall. The inner wall may include at least one channel extending along a radially outer surface for housing the wiring assembly and each of the at least one channel may house a wire of the wiring assembly.

The pre-heater may include a resistive element. The pre-heater may be electrically connected to the heater via a heater circuit. The thermal safety device may be electrically connected to the heater via the heater circuit. When the appliance is activated, fluid may flow from the fluid inlet through the pre-heater, past the thermal safety device, through the heater and on to the fluid outlet. The thermal safety device may extend orthogonal to a longitudinal axis A-A of the body.
