  • Patent number: 11512428
Abstract: Various techniques are described for enhanced combustion of hot water extraction (HWE) derived liquor. For example, the HWE derived liquor can be pre-treated prior to introduction into a combustion chamber. The pre-treatment can include subjecting HWE derived liquor to filtration to remove suspended solids, evaporation to produce a first stage concentrated HWE liquor; additional concentration to produce a second stage concentrated HWE liquor; additional filtration to remove additional suspended solids; and pre-heating to produce a preheated HWE liquor. The preheated HWE liquor can be atomized and combined with pre-heated combustion air supplied into a combustion chamber to effect combustion of the HWE derived liquor.

  • Publication number: 20070029049
Abstract: The present invention is a retractable screen (22) and frame (24) assembly (20). The frame (24) includes a first track (32) and a second track (34) in spaced and parallel relationship to the first track (32). The retractable screen (22) includes a canister (36), a screen cloth (38), a control bar (40), a first glide (42), a second glide (44), and a biasing device (46). The biasing device (46) is disposed between a first end (52) of the control bar (40) and the first glide (42). The first glide (42) is inserted into the first track (32) and the second glide (44) is inserted into the second track (34). The glides (42, 44) slide along the respective tracks (32, 34) while the biasing device (46) biases the first end (52) of the control bar (40) with respect to the first track (32). The biasing provided by the biasing device (46) prevents the control bar (40) from binding with the tracks (32, 34) as the control bar (40) and the glides (42, 44) are slid along the tracks (32, 34).

  • Publication number: 20060230575
Abstract: A sliding rail assembly (20) for a sliding panel (22), movable along a track (24) between open and closed positions, includes a runner (26) and a glide (28) for sliding engagement along the runner (26). The runner (26) is adapted to extend from the track (24). The glide (28) has an interior surface (64) disposed about the runner (26) and an exterior surface (62) adapted to extend from the sliding panel (22). A layer of polymeric material (48) is secured by an adhesive (90) to either one of the interior surface (64) of the glide (28), the runner (26), or both for facilitating sliding movement of the glide (28) along the runner (26).

  • Publication number: 20060048467
Abstract: A screen frame assembly (20) for a door or a window includes a frame (22), a screen cloth (24), and a light curable adhesive (LCA) (26). The LCA (26) cures upon exposure to light energy (43). The frame (22) defines an opening (30) and the screen cloth (24) covers the opening (30). The LCA (26) is disposed between the frame (22) and the screen cloth (24) to adhere the screen cloth (24) to the frame (22) once the LCA (26) has been cured.

  • Publication number: 20050257496
Abstract: A frame (20) for supporting an article includes a first frame section (36) and a first flange (62) extending to a first end (56). The frame (20) also includes a second frame section (38) and a second flange (64) extending to a second end (60). A notch (68) is formed in the first flange (62) and defines a flange finger (70) between the notch (68) and the first end (56). A retention opening (32) is formed in the second end (60) of the second frame section (38). A retention corner (94) for the frame (20) is formed between the first frame section (36) and the second frame section (38) by inserting the flange finger (70) of the first frame section (36) into the retention opening (32) of the second frame section (38).
