  • Patent number: 12498032
Abstract: A low axial runout driven pulley through the application of a spindle shaft utilizing multiple sets of bearings with radial clearance to the shaft. Utilizing a belt-driven pulley supporting overhanging loads with low axial runout provided by a spindle shaft with radial clearance to supporting bearings. Further axial clamp loading may be provided through multiple sets of bearings by the application of a fastener, such as a shaft bolt and a sleeve that press against the inner races of the bearings in the axial direction with this clamp load. The belt-driven pulley with low axial runout through the application of a spindle shaft utilizing at least two sets of bearings with radial clearance to the shaft may be utilized with heavy-duty trucking, marine, industrial, and other systems that utilize an overhung driven component.

  • Publication number: 20230280411
Abstract: Aspects relate to methods and systems for detecting a weak cell of a battery. The system including a battery including a plurality of cells, a plurality of sensors configured to detect a potential of each cell of the plurality of cells over time for a duration, and a computing device configured to receive the potential of each cell of the plurality of cells, determine at least an outlier cell from the plurality of cells, as a function of the potential of each cell of the plurality of cells, and filter the at least a weak cell as a function of the at least an outlier cell.

  • Publication number: 20130071609
Abstract: A cushioning structure is adapted to support a ioad and to reduce stresses on the load as the result of externally applied impact forces. The cushioning structure comprises an impact energy absorbing layer adapted to be placed between the load and the applied impact energy. The cushioning structure is configured such that the impact energy absorbing layer comprises a plurality of cells of a pliable material, and wherein at least some of said cells are in fluid communication with adjacent cells to provide a valved fluid transfer between said cells, and further wherein the means for effecting valved transfer between cells comprises a venturi valve.

  • Publication number: 20110266302
Abstract: A beverage and dessert dispenser for making beverages or frozen desserts includes an auger driven to rotate and a cone displaceable with respect to the auger such that at least a portion of the auger may be positioned inside the cone for mixing ingredients. A flow control valve, connected to a bottom, exit, end of the cone, includes a housing and a gate operatively connected thereto. The gate is linearly translatable with respect to the housing along a fore-aft axis between closed and open positions of the flow control valve. The flow control valve seals the bottom opening of the cone when in the closed position, and permits fluid flow through the bottom opening of the cone when in the open position. The beverage and dessert dispenser is actuatable between a blending state, where the auger rotates, and a non-blending state, where the auger does not rotate.

  • Publication number: 20050223695
Abstract: A thrust vector control system for a plug nozzle rocket engine for propelling and maneuvering a vehicle is disclosed. The plug nozzle rocket engine includes a housing having a nozzle throat, a plug disposed within the housing and positioned within the nozzle throat to define a space between the plug and the nozzle throat, and a thrust diverter moveably disposed relative to the housing to define an asymmetric pressure distribution along the plug for thrust-vectoring. In one embodiment, the thrust diverter is normally biased to a non-thrust-vectoring position, but is moveable in a plane substantially perpendicular to an axis extending longitudinally through the plug.
