  • Publication number: 20220096116
Abstract: A medical instrument for cutting soft tissue during an interventional radiology procedure includes a hypodermic needle and a stylet at least partially located within the needle bore. The portion of the stylet located within the needle bore and the needle collectively form at least one fluid passageway. The stylet is movable relative to the hypodermic needle along the needle axis. The stylet is adjustable between a retracted configuration and a protracted configuration. The stylet head is located within the needle bore when the medical instrument is in the retracted configuration. The stylet head is located external to the needle bore when the medical instrument is in the protracted configuration. The fluid passageway enables fluid to flow from the proximal needle end to the distal needle end when the stylet is in the retracted configuration and in the protracted configuration.

  • Patent number: 8855460
Abstract: Methods and systems for delivering and exporting edited media in multiple formats. A user may select an export format and the selection of the export format may be recorded. Metadata related to an edit decision list created by a user for the edited media product may be accessed, and the metadata may be applied to a component of each media file to create a clip. The clip may be converted to a temporary conversion format. An effect time in the edit decision list may be accessed, and each clip may be broken into individual frames. Effect images from a library may be appropriately and proportionately combined with each individual frame of each clip, the combined frames may be joined to create a completed media file in an order specified in the edit decision list, and the completed media file may be converted to the selected export format.

  • Publication number: 20110026899
Abstract: Methods and systems for viewing, editing high resolution video over a computer network. High-resolution footage may be uploaded and stored on a system. Such high-resolution footage may be captured by various content creators from various locations. From the high-resolution footage, low-resolution copies, which may be flash copies, of this footage may be created. Instead of accessing and editing the originally submitted high-resolution footage, the low-resolution copies may be viewed, clipped, aggregated and modified on the site. A edited video may be created based on various received editing commands, and the edited video may be ultimately exported in multiple formats. The exported video may also be exported to various remote systems.

  • Publication number: 20110026898
Abstract: Interface, systems and methods for collaborative video editing. An online collection of editing tools is provided. Collaborative functionality in the editor includes multi-user viewing of the same editing interface (from different locations in the world), instant messaging communication, transferable editing controls between users and a media/idea suggestion portal. Over a network, various users may have varying level of permissions for providing edits to a video, providing comments or interacting with a chat interface. As users provide editing commands to the single video project, a single edit decision list may be updated and each user's view of the current state of the video may be continuously updated to reflect the edits in real-time. In this manner, various users may view and interact with the editing interface over a network to edit a single video project simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20110030031
Abstract: Methods and systems for receiving, processing and organizing video. Organizational tools are provided that allow users the capacity to solicit, mine, clip, aggregate, organize, and search submitted footage. These tools include: a set of electronic folders, a media clipper and a media submit portal. Studios, projects, folders and subfolders exist in a hierarchical relationship in order to arrange media. The hierarchy of folders created by producers may be made accessible by the public for the purpose of submitting media to a particular project. Various content creators may upload video to the system, may create electronic video clips from the uploaded video by selecting subportions of that video, and may submit the electronic video clips to a specific folder which is associated with a project. Producers may view various folders to select submitted video clips for use in a project.

  • Patent number: 6855229
Abstract: Disclosed is a composition for softening a wet laid cellulosic structure. A particularly preferred structure is an absorbent tissue. Further disclosed are tissue structures softened using the composition. The composition includes an effective amount of a softening active ingredient; a vehicle in which the softening active ingredient is dispersed; an electrolyte dissolved in the vehicle; and a bilayer disrupter. The electrolyte and the bilayer disrupter cooperate to cause the viscosity of the composition to be less than the viscosity of a dispersion of the softening active ingredient in the vehicle alone. Preferably, the softening active ingredient is a quaternary ammonium compound with the formula: (R1)4-m—N+—[(CH2)n—Y—R3]mX? the vehicle is water, the electrolyte is calcium chloride, and the bilayer disrupter is a nonionic surfactant. Also disclosed is a method of using the compound by adding it at a use concentration to the wet end of a papermaking process.
