  • Patent number: 11011013
Abstract: A physical system supports a method on a surface of a gaming table for reception of markers identifying placement of wagers on a series of sequential random outcomes. There are a series of distinct adjacent areas for receiving markers indicating wagers on the series of sequential random outcomes. Each distinct area has a surface area sufficient to accommodate a marker indicating wagers from a single player. Associated with each area is an indicator of a degree of progression through a sequence of random outcomes. The indicator of a degree of progression changing after each sequential outcome. Any markers present on a distinct area moving relative to a last indicator on which any marker was present to indicate a change in a degree of progression in the series of sequential random outcomes.

  • Patent number: 10191993
Abstract: According to some embodiments, a computer based and web enabled sweepstakes system that utilizes automation methods and tools to define a sweepstakes specification and to download the specification to one or more internet based web servers is disclosed. The web servers will permit a sweepstakes contestant to enter personal information into a sweepstakes central database using a web page entry form. The web server will provide the contestant with a printable document. The contestant will send the printed document to a centralized processing center by way of a publically available delivery service. Once received at the processing center, the contestant's unique OMR code found on the printed document is optically scanned and compared to information in the web server contestant data base. If the OMR code is found in the data base a match status flag is set within the contestants' record.

  • Patent number: 9015807
Abstract: An application submits a permission request to a resource server. In response to receiving the request, the resource server generates a user interface that asks the user to grant or deny the requested permissions. If the permissions are granted, data is stored indicating that the application has the requested permissions. When a runtime request for a resource is received, the resource server determines whether the request has been made by a user, by an application, or by an application on behalf of a user. If the request is made by an application only, the request is granted only if the application has permission to access the resource by way of a direct call not on behalf of a user. If the request is made by an application on behalf of a user, the request is granted only if both the user and the application have sufficient permission.

  • Patent number: 8621072
Abstract: Remote event receivers can register with a document repository computing system to receive notifications of events occurring at a document repository. The remote event receivers may register to receive notifications synchronously, whereby the remote event receivers can provide a response to the notification prior to the occurrence of the event, or asynchronously, whereby the remote event receivers provide no response. Synchronous remote event receivers can also specify in a response to the notification that the event should be canceled or may specify properties that should be changed. Remote event receivers can be pre-event receivers that receive notifications prior to the occurrence of an event, or post-event receivers that receive notifications following the event. When an event is to occur at the document repository, notifications are provided to the pre-event remote event receivers. Once the event has occurred, notifications are provided to the post-event remote event receivers.

  • Patent number: 8123498
Abstract: A method and system for reducing pulsation in a gas compressor system. A pulsation control device, such as a filter bottle or side branch absorber, is installed at a port into some location on the compressor system. The pulsation control device has a choke tube with a variable cross-sectional area, such as by having multiple conduits that may be opened or closed or a diameter that may be varied. In operation, the cross sectional area of the choke tube is varied depending on the compressor speed.

  • Publication number: 20090235186
Abstract: Technologies and concepts are presented herein for limited-scope rendering of a document, such as a Web page, which contains code that when rendered or executed generates one or more graphical page elements. A user interface is provided through which a scope within the code or page elements may be specified. A request may also be received to zoom into the selected scope. In response to such a request, only the code and/or page elements within the specified scope are rendered, displayed, and made available for editing. Code and page elements outside the specified scope are not rendered or displayed. In response to a request to zoom out from the selected scope, all of the code and page elements are rendered and displayed.

  • Publication number: 20070106283
Abstract: A driver assembly may include a fastener and a driver. The fastener may have a head with upper and lower surfaces. An engagement portion may be located in the upper surface proximate a perimeter portion thereof. A shank may extend from the lower surface of the head and a breakaway portion may extend from the upper surface of the head. The driver may include a shaft having a body with a first end having a fastener-engaging portion. The fastener-engaging portion may have an outer driving geometry engaged with the engagement portion of the fastener when in an engaged position. The first end may further include an opening therein. The opening may receive at least a portion of the breakaway portion when in the engaged position.

  • Publication number: 20060248653
Abstract: A drill bit is connected to a drill in a simple and rapid manner and used to drill a hole in a backing which may be of wood, plastic or other material in which threads can readily be formed. A threaded insert which has a slightly greater diameter than the hole is then connected to the drill bit in the same manner as the drill and driven by the drill into the hole. The insert forms matching threads in the walls of the hole so that the insert is threadably attached to the backing.
