  • Patent number: 11162785
Abstract: The apparatus comprises a target structure (101) having a reflective surface (102) and a crossbar structure oriented parallel to an axel of the vehicle; a first reference structure (107) having a pass-through channel (108) and an aiming surface (109); a second reference structure (111) having a laser emitter (102). In the method the first reference structure is aligned with a midpoint of a side of the vehicle nearest to the target structure and the second reference structure with the laser emitter is aligned with a midpoint of a side of the vehicle furthest from the target structure with the laser emitter oriented toward the target structure. The emitted laser beam passes through the channel of the first reference structure and is reflected by the reflective surface. The relative angle and alignment of the target structure at the reflection position is adjusted such that the reflected beam is reflected onto a designated region of the aiming surface on the first structure.

  • Patent number: 8516934
Abstract: A clip installing tool and method for installing the clip are provided. The clip includes a clip holding portion and a leveraging portion, each having a handle at an end. The clip holding portion includes a receiving portion to hold the clip therein. When a force is applied to the clip holding and leveraging portions, the clip is forced around a connector portion of a fuel in order to hold the connector portion with a fuel injector.

  • Publication number: 20060265827
Abstract: A headlight lens cleaning tool includes an internal cleaning pad and an external guider. The internal cleaning pad is configured to clean the interior surface of a sealed beam headlight lens without requiring removal of the headlight assembly from a vehicle or disassembly of the headlight assembly. The internal cleaning pad can be inserted into the headlight assembly by way of a headlamp bulb socket opening, and can include a core that is capable of being attracted by a magnetic field and a pliable covering to wipe clean the interior surface of the headlight lens. The external guider can include a permanent magnet, and can be placed against the exterior surface of the headlight lens in order to retain the cleaning pad against the interior surface and move the cleaning pad about the interior surface of the headlight lens to clean the interior surface of the headlight lens.

  • Publication number: 20060101948
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a tool for holding a fastener, such as a nail, screw, bolt or the like. The tool includes a handle attached to a mounting head that is specifically shaped to correspond with the shape of a fastener. Between the mounting head and the handle can be a bend that facilitates proper grasping of the handle by the hand of a user of the tool. The mounting head includes an engaging location defined by at least one locating guide. The engaging location can be an aperture or gap that substantially conforms to the shape of the fastener. The tool also includes at least one magnet to removably hold the fastener in the aperture. The tool can include a sleeve that can act as a grip, or protect the hand of a user from vibrational and electrical energy during use of the tool.

  • Patent number: 5669149
Abstract: The present invention discloses a folding framing square and layout tool which has an elongated base having a channel and two faces. Pivotally attached to the elongated base is an arm which opens up to a preset angle which is preferably ninety degrees (90.degree.) and closes into the channel thereby taking up a limited amount of room. At the end of the elongated base opposite the pivoting point there is placed a tab which allows the user to layout a preset distance for marking the location of studs. The preset angle of the arm with respect to the elongated base is adjustable and correctable. Linear gauges are placed on both edges of each of the arm and the elongated base. Additionally, pitch gauges are placed on one end or both of the arm and elongated base that indicate a pitch based upon the intersection of either of the arm or the elongated base across the pitch gauge. An angle marker is placed on the pivoting point to show the angle of the arm with respect to the elongated base.
