  • Publication number: 20210404231
Abstract: A hinge for a door or window has a door or window and a frame. The hinge has a first and a second hinge leaf pivotably connectable to each other. The first hinge leaf is connectable to the door/window or frame. The second hinge leaf is adjustably connectable to a base in turn connectable to the other of said door/window or frame. The second hinge leaf extends from the base in a first direction and the hinge comprises an adjustment mechanism with a cam and follower configured so that rotating the cam moves the second hinge leaf, relative to the base, in the first direction.

  • Patent number: 8517626
Abstract: An embedded-type reflective road marker which includes a base and a reflector for reflecting light cast onto the marker. The reflector is detachably connected or secured, in use, to the base and received in a central depression. The detachable connection is achieved by a connector having a pair of resilient clips each with an outwardly extending projection arranged to releasably engage by a snap fit a recess or aperture in a respective facing side wall of the central depression.

  • Publication number: 20110197974
Abstract: A draining apparatus for use in discharging water from a cistern which is arranged for dual flush operation. The apparatus includes an inlet member (2), buoyancy altering means connected to the inlet member and an outlet (4) fluidly connected to an inlet of the inlet member by an adjustable conduit (5). The buoyancy altering means is operable to decrease the buoyancy of the inlet member thereby submerging, in use, at least a portion of the inlet and discharging water from the cistern. In one embodiment, the buoyancy altering means includes a buoyancy member (3) releasably latched to the inlet member for movement therewith. In another embodiment, the buoyancy altering means includes a buoyancy chamber with a valve operable to selectively release or retain air within the chamber.

  • Patent number: 6932369
Abstract: An assembly comprises an elongate member and a receiving member. The elongate member has an external cross-sectional shape which is substantially square and has corners replaced by circumferentially spaced circular portions of a circumscribing circle with flat portions therebetween which lie within the circle. The receiving member has a receiving formation having an internal cross-sectional shape which cooperates at least with the flat portions of the external cross-sectional shape of the elongate member to prevent relative movement between the receiving member and elongate member about a longitudinal axis of the elongate member. The assembly is adapted for use in a joining the members of a wheelchair. The invention is further directed towards a structural assembly comprising an elongate member engaging in a receiving formation of a receiving member and a clamp embracing the receiving member to clamp the elongate member in the receiving formation.
