  • Patent number: 12195916
Abstract: A wire cable construct including a plurality of strands each made of a plurality of wire filaments, the strands and wire filaments arranged in a 37×7 configuration of 37 strands of 7 wire filaments each, with the strands arranged in four layers including a first, central layer of a single strand, a second layer of six strands, a third layer of twelve strands and a fourth, outermost layer of eighteen strands. The cable may have a small diameter for use in medical device applications, and the strand and wire element configuration allows the cable to carry high axial loads, minimizes bending stress when the cable is routed around a tight turn such as a small pulley, and minimizes torsion in the cable due to axial loading.

  • Publication number: 20250007914
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to adverse user behavior detection and mitigation. In examples, a user account of a social platform may be trusted or untrusted. If the user account is untrusted, activity of the user account may be buffered so as to not directly affect social metrics of the social platform. For example, if the untrusted user account follows a target user account, the untrusted user account may be added to a separate set of followers or otherwise separated from a set of trusted followers of the target user account. Eventually, each user account in the separate set is evaluated to determine whether the user account has transitioned to a trusted user. If the user account is now trusted, it may be migrated to the set of trusted followers. However, if the user account is untrusted, it may be removed from the separate set, thereby reverting the activity.

  • Patent number: 12115656
Abstract: Modular robotic arms include modular sections with a joint and arm segment. In some examples, the modular sections may connect to each other using common tooling flanges, such as a standard robotic interface for an end effector. In the same or different examples, a robotic arm controller is located in a base or other section for the robotic arm. In the same or different examples, a robotic arm joint includes a differential gear with two motors. Coordinated control of the two differential joint motors facilitates both hinge and rotary motion for the joint.

  • Patent number: 12002649
Abstract: A system comprising a spinning disk is disclosed. The system comprises a semiconductor processing system, such as a high energy implantation system. The semiconductor processing system produces a spot ion beam, which is directed to a plurality of workpieces, which are disposed on the spinning disk. The spinning disk comprises a rotating central hub with a plurality of platens. The plurality of platens may extend outward from the central hub and workpieces are electrostatically clamped to the platens. The plurality of platens may also be capable of rotation. The central hub also controls the rotation of each of the platens about an axis orthogonal to the rotation axis of the central hub. In this way, variable angle implants may be performed. Additionally, this allows the workpieces to be mounted while in a horizontal orientation.

  • Publication number: 20230381397
Abstract: An aspiration system to control vacuum pressure in an ultrasonic surgical handpiece to result in improved control responsiveness during aspiration. The system comprises a console including a vacuum pump. The system includes a cassette comprising a joint that divides a vacuum path into at least two flow paths. A first joint port couples to a first flow path. A second flow path is coupled to a second joint port, a third flow path is coupled to a third joint port, and a fourth flow path is coupled to a port on a surgical waste receiver. A first sensor senses pressure in the fourth flow path and provides a waste receiver pressure signal. A second sensor senses pressure in the third flow path and provides a tip pressure signal. The controller controls a position of a first vent valve and a second vent valve based on the waste receiver pressure signal and the tip pressure signal, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20230272578
Abstract: Ultra-High-Strength (UHS) wires are suited to high strength wire, strands, cables and rope applications including robotics force transmission and other high-performance mono- and multifilament wire applications. The wires exhibit high strength, low stretch and fatigue durability. Exemplary UHS materials include binary molybdenum-rhenium or tungsten-rhenium alloys with between 20 and 50 wt. % rhenium. These alloys are processed from a moderate strength (<2 GPa) warm-drawn rod to drawn monofilament wire with extreme nanocrystalline grain refinement, high apparent fatigue durability, and ultimate strength levels exceeding 5 GPa in all cases, and up to 6.8 GPa at monofilament diameters ranging from 7 to 100 ?m.
