  • Publication number: 20070141362
Abstract: A release agent composition to prevent sticking and facilitate separation of surfaces, such as patterns and core boxes from foundry molds and cores comprises (a) a styrene-diene block copolymer; (b) a functional silicone; (c) a solvent; and optionally, one or both of (d) a catalyst and (e) a crosslinking agent. Further is provided a method to facilitate separation of a workpiece from a substrate comprising applying the release agent composition to a surface of the workpiece, the substrate or both. In one particular embodiment, the method improves the release of a mold or a core from a pattern or a core box.

  • Patent number: 7117962
Abstract: An articulated forklift truck for use in narrow aisles comprises a front chassis section (10) having a first pair of ground-engaging wheels (20) and a rear chassis section (12) having a second pair of ground-engaging wheels (22). The front chassis section (10) carries a mast (16) and lift forks (18) and is pivoted to the rear chassis section (12) about a substantially vertical axis (14) to allow the truck to be steered. Both front wheels (20) but only one of the rear wheels (22) are driven by electric of hydrostatic motors (24, 26).

  • Publication number: 20060079601
Abstract: A release agent composition to facilitate separation of patterns and core boxes from foundry molds and cores comprising a cross-linkable fluorotelomer comprising repeat units derived from a fluoroalkene, a silicone intermediate, a catalyst, and a solvent or a hydroxy-terminated polyalkylsiloxane. Further is provided a method to improve the release properties of molds removed from a pattern or core box comprising applying a composition of the invention to the pattern or core box surface. A process for synthesizing a fluorotelomer or cotelomer from fluoroalkene monomers or comonomers is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20060029952
Abstract: Methods and compositions for performing nucleic acid duplication and amplification reactions are provided. A single-stranded nucleic acid binding protein is selected and provided in the reaction mixture which is assembled at a low, nonstringent temperature to include all of the necessary reagents for successful nucleic acid duplication or amplification reactions. By incorporating a single-stranded nucleic acid binding protein into the reaction mixture at low temperature, the generation of nonspecific products such as amplification products is improved despite the reaction mixture having been fully assembled at a nonstringent temperature.

  • Publication number: 20050061570
Abstract: A four-directional forklift truck comprising a chassis 10 having two front wheels 12L, 12R and one rear wheel 14. A respective hydrostatic motor 18 drives each wheel selectively in either one of two opposite directions of rotation. The truck includes control means for placing the truck in a carousel mode wherein the three wheels are set at respective steering angles in which their axes of rotation A1, A2, A3 intersect at substantially common vertical axis C equidistant from each wheel and all three wheels are driven. A switchover valve 30, which is connected between one of the front wheels 12R and a hydraulic power supply 22 and is actuated in sideways mode, is de-actuated in carousel mode.

  • Patent number: 6269901
Abstract: A hydraulic drive system incorporating a hydraulic pump for three wheeled vehicles such as “piggy back” forklifts in which there are at least two separate but linked drives forming one drive unit for each of the wheels and each drive has a separate input and output. Valving is provided to provide both parallel and series operation of the system for optimum torque, speed and anti skid operation. In one preferred way of carrying out the invention a single drive unit feeds one of the drives of each of the other drives. The hydraulic pump feeds the single drive unit and one of the drives of the other transverse drive units. By-pass diverter valves are fitted across the drives of the transverse drive units.

  • Patent number: 5749695
Abstract: A universal forklift truck mounting frame (1) for fitting at a rear end of a carrier vehicle chassis has a composite base support framework. The base support framework has a rear support beam (8) and a front support beam (20) interconnected by a pair of spaced-apart hanger plates (5). Each hanger plate (5) has a flanged upper end (6) to provide a laterally extending chassis engaging surface. A wheel rest plate (9) is mounted at each end of the rear support beam (8). A pair of fork support sleeves (18), each for engagement with a fork of a forklift truck are mounted on the support framework between and substantially parallel to the hanger plates (5). A crash bar (10) is mounted at a rear end of the hanger plates (5).
