The method includes operating a wireless communication interface of the aerosol provision device in a listening mode. During operation of the listening mode, data is received data from the wireless communication interface of another aerosol provision device. The received data is stored in a memory of the aerosol provision device. A connectionless-state advertising packet that includes information relating to an identity and advertising state of the aerosol provision device is created using the wireless communication interface of the aerosol provision device and transmitted via the wireless communication interface. A connectionless-state request packet is received from a remote wireless device, via the wireless communication interface.

Abstract: A connectivity dongle for providing connectivity between an aerosol delivery device and a management service. The connectivity dongle comprises a wireless connectivity interface configured to establish a wireless data connection to an aerosol delivery device to receive data from the aerosol delivery device; and a data connectivity interface configured to establish a network connection to the management service and to pass data received from a connected aerosol delivery device to the management service via the network connection. In some embodiments, each aerosol delivery device may comprise an electronic nicotine delivery “END” device.

Abstract: In a fault management system, a method and a converting unit for converting correlated sequences of network alarms into a high level language format are disclosed. The method comprises receiving episodic alarm sequence for the correlated sequences obtaining a high level language scheme, and converting the episodic alarm sequence using the accessed high level language scheme into a high level language format, to enable more efficient and reliable fault management using the converted episodic alarm sequence in high level language format.

Abstract: In automated call distribution (ACD) from a telephony server to agent stations, there are concerns with urgency to answer phone calls, not placing callers on hold, and allowing agents to move about to perform other, non-phone tasks. These concerns are met by a ringing technique based on rules which take into account system states which depend on whether agents are busy and whether there are calls waiting, and events such as incoming calls arriving, calls being answered, calls being terminated, and calls being abandoned. The technique is particularly suited for use in retail operations such as fast food delivery, for example.
