  • Patent number: 11563310
Abstract: A bipolar ionizer comprising an electronic circuit, microprocessor, and step-up transformer providing high-voltage signals to carbon-fiber electrodes producing bipolar ion concentrations greater than +/?200 million ions per cubic centimeter. The bipolar ionizer monitors, reduces, and converts high-voltage signals to feedback signals used by the microprocessor to vary a frequency and a duty cycle of a digital signal to control an excitation signal for a step-up transformer output voltage to consistently maintain an unbalanced high-voltage output ratio less than 80 percent, balanced bipolar ion concentration ratio greater than 80 percent, and zero ozone concentration over a range of electrical signal inputs. The microprocessor calculates and reports bipolar ionizer concentrations based on feedback signals.

  • Patent number: 7756832
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides an apparatus and method that use auto support data for upgrade compatibility. The method includes capturing the input commands that are used by a user (customer) of a storage appliance and that are processed by a current storage operating system in the storage appliance. These input commands are then stored in a database and are the auto support data that is transmitted from the storage appliance via a network to the database. These input commands can be recorded or categorized in the database, based upon the command name or command line arguments of the input commands. These input commands can then be mapped to new input commands that are used with an upgraded storage operating system in a storage appliance. These mapping can be implemented in, for example, a data structure that maps previous input commands to new input commands.

  • Publication number: 20060117767
Abstract: An apparatus for the diagnosis of a cooling system which receives inputs in the form of data about a cooling system, and measurements made from the cooling system, and which then calculates the amount of refrigerant to be removed or added to the cooling system for optimal performance. In addition, methods for ensuring correct setup of a cooling system are disclosed. The methods may apply to FXV (fixed expansion valve) systems and may include making and displaying a prediction of a refrigerant adjustment based upon measurements such as return air wetbulb temperature, condenser air entering temperature, refrigerant superheat vapor line temperature, and refrigerant superheat vapor line pressure. A method for ensuring correct setup of a cooling system is disclosed.

  • Patent number: RE49383
Abstract: A programmable controller circuit that can be connected directly to the fan switch of any thermostat with a forced air heating and/or cooling system that includes a blower fan for circulating air throughout the home. The controller can be installed with minimal modifications to the existing wiring. The present invention increases the efficiency of the cooling system by evaporating condensate and extracting residual coolness from the thermal mass of the evaporator coils. The present invention can be programmed with a single button. A method of adapting additional fan run time based on compressor run time an AC compressor off time and an AC compressor on time.
