    Abstract: A performance engineering platform using one or more probes and one or more searchable tags is described. In an embodiment, a set of attributes of a system to be monitored are determined. Based on the attributes of the system, one or more probes that include functionality to detect data from the system are identified. Data is detected from the system using at least one of the probes. In an embodiment, one or more reports are obtained. The reports are based on data detected by a set of probes. An association between a particular searchable tag and one of the set of probes is received. Responsive to receiving the association between the particular searchable tag and the probe, report values, associated with a subset of the data detected by the probe, are identified. Further, the report values are tagged with the particular searchable tag.

    Abstract: Various embodiments provide systems and methods for facilitating synchronized delivery of shipments/items scheduled to be delivered to multiple serviceable points located nearby one another. Various embodiments identify nearby serviceable points based on an identification of serviceable points being located along a common street segment. Accordingly, serviceable point data identifying corresponding street segment identifiers are stored for a plurality of serviceable points. Thereafter, shipping data for a first shipment to be delivered to a first serviceable point is received, and a determination is made whether a second shipment scheduled to be delivered to a second serviceable point is available for synchronized delivery with the first shipment. The determination comprises determining whether the street segment corresponding to the first serviceable point is the same as and/or is connected to the street segment corresponding to the second serviceable point.

Various embodiments identify nearby serviceable points based on an identification of serviceable points being located within a common geofenced area. Accordingly, a geofence is defined surrounding a geographical area comprising a plurality of serviceable points. The geofence is associated with a record for a serviceable point located within the geofenced area, wherein the record comprises a physical address and a geocode for the serviceable point. Thereafter, shipping data for a shipment to be delivered to the serviceable point is received, and is compared to a database of shipments to determine whether a second shipment is to be delivered to a second serviceable point located within the same geofenced area.

    Abstract: An assembly for the stabilisation of vertebral bodies (12, 14) of the spine is described. It comprises a pair of pedicle screws (20) each having a threaded shaft (20a) with a tapering first end (20b) for introduction into a vertebral body and a head portion (20c) with a second end (20d), and is characterised in that it further comprises a spring member (18, 22, 24, 40, 42, 44) of the following form. The spring member has first and second ends, substantially straight portions (18b) adjacent each end and a substantially curvilinear central portion (18a) therebetween, the straight portions and the substantially curvilinear central portion being substantially coplanar. The assembly also includes a pair of fixation mechanisms (26) for securing the first and second ends of the spring member to the pair of pedicle screws. Typically the assembly will be for stabilisation of two adjacent vertebral bodies of the spine, that is one motion segment.

    Abstract: A hand held skin abrading apparatus is provided. The apparatus comprises a handle configured for gripping by a human operator; a reciprocating motion generator, in the form of a magnetostrictive ultrasonic transducer, associated with the handle; an applicator attached to the handle and having an applicator blade for applying abrading motion to a surface and a coupler for coupling the applicator to the magnetostrictive ultrasonic transducer. The applicator is releasably securable to the handle of a skin abrading apparatus and includes a connector portion extending from the applicator blade, the connector portion having a central axis, wherein the applicator blade is offset from the central axis to enable the apparatus to be operated with the handle above the plane of the surface being abraded. The apparatus may include provision for irrigation of the surface being abraded.
