  • Publication number: 20240089189
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for managing information technology (IT) infrastructure. Client devices interact with applications of an enterprise that may be hosted in data centers of the enterprise or as software as a service (SaaS) applications. An IT management system receives session information from client devices. The session information describes interactions of client devices with applications, for example, response time of applications for each interaction. The IT management system analyzes the session information received from various client devices to identify issues with IT infrastructure. The IT management system generates warning messages describing the issues identified and sends them for review, for example, by a system administrator.

  • Patent number: 8135673
Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamic display of revision indicia are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for dynamic display of revision indicia in an information product generated by a publishing system includes determining that at least one element of a structured content has been revised; adding a time-stamp metadata to each element of the structured content; and rendering the structured content for publication, wherein rendering includes comparing the time-stamp metadata of each element with a baseline date; and if the time-stamp metadata indicates that a particular element has been revised subsequent to the baseline date, displaying a revision indicia at least proximate to each element in the information product.

  • Patent number: 5332925
Abstract: A vertical windmill employing aerodynamic lift includes stators that form an omnidirectional diffuser and can rotate out of the wind to reduce the destructive tendencies in high winds. A braking mechanism included in the windmill uses rotation of the airfoils to reduce the lift caused by the wind and disengagement of the airfoils to reduce nearly all lift on the airfoils. Centrifugal force is used to activate the brake in high winds, both to slow the rotor speed and, in extreme winds, to stop the rotor. A motor is provided to drive the windmill to simplify controls and increase energy production.
    Type: Grant
