  • Patent number: 11975746
Abstract: A vessel for transporting a material that is solid or semi-solid at ambient temperature, includes a body having an interior surface comprising textured metal, and a superoleophobic coating on the interior surface for inhibiting the material from adhering to the interior surface, the superoleophobic coating including a nanotextured coating disposed on the textured metal and functionalized with a fluorinated compound. The superoleophobic coating facilitates flow of the material along the interior surface.

  • Patent number: 11970992
Abstract: An acoustic core may include an array of resonant cells configured as a plurality of resonant cell groups. The resonant cell groups may include a plurality of resonant cells configured as a partitioned resonant cell that include a converging resonant cell and a diverging resonant cell. The converging resonant cell and the diverging resonant cell may be defined by a plurality of cell walls integrally formed with one another and a partition integrally formed with the plurality of cell walls. The partition may at least partially delimit the converging resonant cell from the diverging resonant cell. The converging resonant cell may define an upper resonant space delimited by the partition and a top face of the array of resonant cells. The diverging resonant cell may define a lower resonant space delimited by the partition and a bottom face of the array of resonant cells.

  • Publication number: 20150250992
Abstract: Devices and methods for dilating the ostia of paranasal sinuses and other passageways within the ear, nose and throat. A mechanical dilator is inserted through a nostril and used to dilate an ostium or a paranasal sinus or other passageway within the ear, nose or throat (e.g., a Eustachian tube or nasolacrimal duct). The mechanical dilator may be an expandable dilators that comprises one or more non-balloon structures with or without an accompanying balloon or a members of varying diameter or cross dimension (e.g., a tapered member) that may be advanced into the ostium or other passageway to cause dilation of that passageway.

  • Patent number: 7648367
Abstract: Anatomical models representing one or more anatomical structures of a human or non-human animal and related methods for demonstrating, training, promotion and sale of medical, cosmetic and surgical products or procedures. A working device is inserted into the anatomical model and used to perform a simulated procedure, thereby causing an indicator apparatus (e.g., a removable business card) to become perceptibly altered. The indicator apparatus may then be removed and provided a potential user, consumer or purchaser of the medical, surgical or cosmetic product.
