Abstract: A growth system based on gravity fed irrigation and collection, integrated illumination suitable for plant growth, and growth pods installable in the system containing seeds or young plants and a growth medium. In some embodiments, the pods may be separate entities preloaded with dormant seeds and growth medium from a provider , and when installed in the system at an angle from vertical, germinate and grow when the system exposes the installed pods to suitable predetermined irrigation and illumination cycles for the particular plant varieties in the pods.
