  • Patent number: 8675655
Abstract: The invention relates to a telecommunication network having IP packet-supporting capabilities, which includes a load distribution processing function, either centralized or distributed, by means of which a load distribution function may be applied to sets of paths between network nodes or sets of links of network trunks. The load distribution processing function handles different load distribution functions. Each of the different load distribution functions is associated to a different network input unit involved in the load distribution for a set of paths between network nodes or a set of trunk links. The invention also relates to a method of load distribution in a telecommunication network as summarized above.

  • Publication number: 20070060894
Abstract: A medication dispensing apparatus that can be actuated with a small force to deliver a precise dose. The apparatus includes a fluid container having an injection chamber and a storage chamber in fluid flow communication. A first plunger is movable to alter the volume of the injection chamber, and a second plunger is movable to alter the volume of the storage chamber. The injection chamber has a cross-sectional area that is smaller than a cross-section area of the storage chamber. During dose setting, a drive assembly drivingly connected to the plungers shifts the plungers different distances so as to reduce the volume of the storage chamber while simultaneously increasing the volume of the injection chamber a similar amount. After dose setting, an actuator is movable with a small force to shift the first plunger to reduce the volume of the injection chamber to force medicine through an outlet of the fluid container.

  • Publication number: 20050172961
Abstract: A portable kit (20) in which is conveniently retained the materials required for a user to pulmonarily delivery inhaleable medication. The kit (20) includes a carrying case (22) in which a plurality of individual doses (5) of an inhaleable medication are removably mounted. An inhaler (40) is also mountable in the case (22), and when removed from the case (22) is operable to pulmonarily administer one of the medication doses (57) loaded by a user into the inhaler (40). A dosing guidance system (70) is also provided within the case (22) in registry with the plurality of individual doses (57) of Medication, which dosing guidance system (70) provides a quick, visual reminder to assist the user in taking doses as prescribed by her physician.

  • Publication number: 20040176728
Abstract: A prefilled injection apparatus for multiple dosings of medication. The protective housing element into which is installed the mechanical drive mechanism used to force the medication from the apparatus extends forward to provide a volume in which is directly contained a multi-dose quantity of medicine, and the medicine is sealed between a movable piston and a septum each in fluid tight engagement with the protective housing element. This design advantageously eliminates the need for using a separate cartridge within the apparatus. A method of making a cartridge-free, multi-dose injection apparatus is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20030081608
Abstract: The method applies to a telecommunication network having IP packet-supporting capabilities when said network includes a load distribution processing function which is either centralized or distributed and by means of which a load distribution function is applied to sets of paths between network nodes and/or sets of links (Lk1, Lkp) of network trunks (12).
