  • Publication number: 20240335149
Abstract: Pressure sensor modules adapted for use with a dental appliance may include one or more pressure sensors encapsulated within a sealed cavity in which one or more walls of the sealed cavity are deformable so as to transduce pressure from outside of the cavity, due to deformation or movement of the dental appliance and/or the environment around the dental appliance, including the environment within a patient's mouth when wearing the dental appliance. Also described herein are method of making and using these apparatuses to identify and/or monitor the dental appliance, a patient condition and/or an orthodontic treatment. Also described herein are methods and apparatuses for identifying and/or characterizing sleep apnea using these pressure sensor modules.

  • Patent number: 6068261
Abstract: An archery target having a solid clay core surrounded by a high density foam wherein the core is capable of stopping an inestimable number of broadhead-tipped arrows in a manner nondestructive to either the arrows (or any components thereof) or the target itself. The clay core is essentially indestructible and can be restored to a like new condition through a simple procedure compressing the arrow holes remaining in the clay, the clay being formulated to allow easy withdrawal of broadhead arrows without damage to the arrow and with a minimum of residual material left on the arrow. Multiple clay cores may also be used to represent vital areas of an animal and/or as multiple bull's-eye for a target.

  • Patent number: 5647568
Abstract: An apparatus for attaching a pliable material, such as a towel, to a more rigid structure, such as a golf bag, is disclosed. The apparatus includes a body. The body has a cylindrical, vertically disposed bore. The body of the apparatus is attached to the rigid structure. A ball of smaller diameter than the bore of the body is wrapped in the pliable material and forced into the bore. The pliable material is thereby wedged between the ball and the wall of the bore.
