  • Patent number: 5999702
Abstract: An ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system displays a printer icon which illustrates to the user the print format in which ultrasound images selected for printing will be printed, and the number of images which may still be printed on the current sheet or roll of print media used by the printer. The printer may be connected to the ultrasonic imaging system for immediate printing of ultrasound images, or the ultrasound images may be stored and transported or transmitted to a printer for printing at a later time. The printer icon enables the user to monitor the consumption of printer media, the number of image areas available for printing on the current sheet or roll of printer media, to know the format in which ultrasound images will be printed on the printer media, and to know whether a printer being used is a color or black and white printer.

  • Patent number: 5141093
Abstract: Apparatus for conveying panels, such as vehicle body side panels to and from work stations located at spaced locations along a conveyor includes a panel support frame mounted on the conveyor for movement along the conveying path with the support frame in an elevated generally horizontal conveying position. The support frame carries a plurality of mechanically actuable releasable clamps adapted to retain a panel engaged against a group of locator pads fixedly mounted on one side of the support frame. A second group of locator pads movably mounted on the frame are normally biased into engagement with the panel at spaced locations around its periphery to hold the panel in a predetermined position laterally of the support frame. The support frame mounts an actuator member coupled to all of the clamps to position all clamps in a panel clamping position when the actuator member is in a first position and to position all clamps in a panel release position when the actuator is in a second position.

  • Patent number: 4991707
Abstract: A carrier is mounted for movement along a conveying path defined by a pair of conveying rails, one of which has a relatively short gap at a work station. A manipulator device is located at the work station and includes a relatively short conveying rail section which may selectively located to span the gap in the one rail or located in a position displaced from the rail. An article support frame is mounted upon the carrier for pivotal movement about an axis parallel to the rails between conveying position and a transfer position. A rail gripping device fixed to the support frame slides along the one rail to support the support frame in its conveying position during movement of the carrier along the rails.

  • Patent number: 4285703
Abstract: An air washer comprises upper and lower plenum chambers which are separated by a panel which carries tubes. A spray nozzle above each tube is oriented to direct the conical spray it forms into the tube to wet the lower half of the bore of the tube. An inlet duct communicates with the lower plenum chamber. A tank is provided below the lower plenum chamber. Filter apparatus is provided in the tank. A fan communicates with the upper plenum chamber and draws air from the inlet duct via the plenum chambers and the parallel paths through the tubes. The air is washed by the spray formed by the nozzles which are fed with liquid drawn from the tank through the filter apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4264240
Abstract: Each line of a multi-line machine tool installation is provided with a sluiceway for receiving coolant/lubricant liquid drained from the machine tools of the line as well as for receiving swarf from those machine tools. Flushing jets are mounted at intervals along the line for flushing swarf along the sluiceway. Liquid supply to each flushing jet is controlled by a respective shut-off valve which is normally closed. A pump drains liquid from a stream of such liquid that is being fed under pressure to the machine tools for use as coolant/lubricant during machining, and feeds that liquid to the shut-off valves under an increased pressure. The shut-off valves are opened automatically one at a time in a predetermined sequence.
