    Abstract: An improved method of making contact lenses that involves using an improved arbor for holding the lens. The arbor assembly includes the use of a surrounding ring having a diametrical slot that mates with pins on various orientation and cutting machines to allow operators of these machines to easily and precisely align certain marked features of the lens blank in relation to features of the various cutting machines. The marking is done with a mechanical marker for more accurate marks of the features.
