    Abstract: Techniques and systems for managing visual layouts of ink strokes are described. In particular, an ink space coordinate system for a digital ink stroke is provided. A digital ink system can receive ink stroke data of an ink stroke. The system can define an ink space coordinate system along the ink stroke. Defining the ink space coordinate system can include assigning a reference line of the ink stroke and an origin point on the reference line, as well as creating ink space coordinates. Creating the ink space coordinates can include defining ink space x-coordinate values representing a distance along the reference line relative to the origin point and defining ink space y-coordinate values representing a distance along an axis perpendicular to the reference line of the ink stroke. Then the system can perform a warping to create curvature in the ink space coordinate system.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for the non-contact electrical test of both opens and shorts in electronic substrates. Top surface electrical test features are exposed to an ionization source under ambient conditions and the subsequent charge build up is measured as a drain current by probes contacting corresponding bottom surface features. Opens are detected by an absence of a drain current and shorts are detected by turning off the ionization source and re-measuring the bottom surface probes with a varying bias applied to each probe in the array.

    Abstract: A head mounted virtual image display unit is provided which is compact in size and weight, and incorporates a high performance optical system offering a clear see-through capability. A sliding light shield may be incorporated for those instances when see-through capability is not desired. A focus adjustment may be incorporated to permit the focusing of the image, for example, at a distance of approximately 18 inches to infinity. An adjustable headband may be incorporated that adapts to fit the users head. A flexible boom structure may be incorporated to facilitate fine positional adjustment of the optical assembly. A slider and ball joint mechanism may also be incorporated to facilitate positional adjustment of the optical assembly. A built-in microphone may be incorporated to enable speech input by the user.
