Abstract: A hose coupling assembly is disclosed that includes a nipple section for retaining a flexible hose where the hose is crimped between the nipple section and a socket. A tubular sleeve covers a portion of the nipple section known as the nipple extension section and the sleeve is attached to the nipple section so as to cover at least one aperture formed in the nipple section such that the sleeve is forced outward towards the socket when pressurized fluid is introduced into the hose coupling assembly which increases the compression force on the hose and thereby increases the operational pressure limit of the hose coupling assembly.

Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting fraudulent merchants using the content of orders completed by the merchants. A fraud detection engine of a fraud detection system generates a fraud detection model using feature data extracted from order content data for known fraudulent and known non-fraudulent merchants. The fraud detection engine executes the model using feature data extracted from order content data for a target merchant to determine a fraud risk associated with the target merchant. If the fraud risk of the merchant is indicative of a fraudulent merchant, the fraud detection system can issue a request to a fraud analyst to review the target merchant further. The results of the fraud analyst's review can be used to update the fraud detection model.

Abstract: Provided, inter alia, is a type of contest in which, at various intervals, geographically dispersed players attempt to answer the identical problem at substantially the same time. In representative embodiments, problems (typically, questions) are made available at seemingly random times throughout the day (or throughout some specified time interval), and players have the opportunity either to respond to the problem or (e.g., in the event that a given player is occupied when a particular problem arises) to pass on the current problem and wait for another one. The method can also include determining one or more of the zones in which to present media associated with the bonus game, and presenting, in the one or more zones, the media associated with the bonus game. Abstract: A double action locking jar is operable to provide a jarring force in an upward or downward direction. A pair of pressure pistons form a pressure chamber in which a Belleville spring stack is located. A metering orifice in one of the pistons serves to provide a delay mechanism for release of a mandrel within the housing. Two collets are located within the housing for mechanically releasing the mandrel when a tension or compression force is applied to the mandrel. The jar may be mechanically actuated only by allowing the pistons to freely move within the housing without hydraulic resistance.

A server for authenticating the device and a method of authenticating the device are also disclosed. The device comprises a transmitter, a processor, a memory and a computer readable medium. The memory includes a certificate certifying the authenticity of the mobile communications device, the certificate comprising device-specific data and a digital signature signed by an authority having control of the authenticity of the mobile communications device. The computer readable medium has computer readable instructions stored thereon that when executed configure the processor to instruct the transmitter to transmit a copy of the certificate to a service provider in response to a request to authenticate the mobile communications device with the service provider.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides low pH fibers that are treated with additives, preferably after regenerating the cellulosic fiber, to control the pH and oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) in an aqueous environment where the fiber is placed. The low pH fibers can be formed into fibrous articles such as tampons or wipes. The low pH fibers with the additives provide health benefits to the user in that they hinder the ability of harmful bacteria to flourish.

Abstract: It is of utmost importance that an imbedded tick is removed promptly after attachment and without causing distress to prevent possible infection from harmful diseases ticks carry. Further problems are created when the mouthparts are disassociated and left within the host's dermis. The Tick Removal Instrument is able to reliably remove the tick, including the mouthparts, without provoking the parasite to expel fluids into the host. The tick engaging portion includes a “vee groove” and a pointing prong which close upon each other to trap the tick. The pointing prong includes a specifically designed part which paralyzes the tick and causes it to release its grip from within the host's dermis. Ergonomic thumb and finger locators facilitate the use of the tool in a comfortable position suitable for use by either hand. The tick is easily removed by a gentle motion of the tool.

In one form, the coated drill stem assemblies for subterraneous rotary drilling operations include a body assembly with an exposed outer surface including a drill string coupled to a bottom hole assembly, a coiled tubing coupled to a bottom hole assembly, or a casing string coupled to a bottom hole assembly and an ultra-low friction coating on at least a portion of the exposed outer surface of the body assembly, hardbanding on at least a portion of the exposed outer surface of the body assembly, an ultra-low friction coating on at least a portion of the hardbanding, wherein the ultra-low friction coating comprises one or more ultra-low friction layers, and one or more buttering layers interposed between the hardbanding and the ultra-low friction coating.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for remotely rebooting Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communication devices. In general, the apparatus remotely selects VoIP communication devices connected to a network, reboots the selected devices, and evaluates the status of each device. A processor allows a user to select VoIP communication devices connected to the network and receives inputs pertaining to the reboot operation, including a time input and search criteria. The processor communicates with the designated VoIP communication devices over a packet-switching network to instruct the devices to reboot and monitors each device. In this way, multiple VoIP communication devices may be rebooted from a remote location, and problems or issues that arise during the reboot process may be identified and addressed. An associated method and computer program product are also provided for remotely rebooting VoIP communication devices.

Abstract: An electric arc welder power supply housing assembly is described in which it is possible to clean internal component parts is achieved by positioning cooling components on a rail system. The rail system may include at least one telescoping track assembly. When the telescoping track assembly is engaged, the housing assembly is in an open position, thus providing access for the maintenance of internal components therein without having to disassemble unnecessary components or parts of the welding power supply.

Abstract: Described is a technology by which a statistical N-gram (e.g., language) model is trained using an N-gram selection technique that helps reduce the size of the final N-gram model. During training, a higher-order probability estimate for an N-gram is only added to the model when the training data justifies adding the estimate. To this end, if a backoff probability estimate is within a maximum likelihood set determined by that N-gram and the N-gram's associated context, or is between the higher-order estimate and the maximum likelihood set, then the higher-order estimate is not included in the model. The backoff probability estimate may be determined via an iterative process such that the backoff probability estimate is based on the final model rather than any lower-order model. Also described is additional pruning referred to as modified weighted difference pruning.
