  • Patent number: 11368856
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for using beacon signals are described. One or more sectorized base stations are used in some embodiments to transmit beacon signals into zones, e.g., each zone being at least partially covered by one or more beacon signals. Use of sectorized base stations allows a single base station, e.g., a Bluetooth or other base station capable of transmitting beacon signals, to cover a number of different zones avoiding the need for multiple different beacon transmitters at different locations to establish different beacon coverage areas. Sectorization of a Bluetooth base station and the ability to remotely or locally configure the base station allows for great flexibility to use beacon signals in stores or other locations without the need for numerous individual battery powered beacon transmitters at floor or display level.

  • Patent number: 11367040
Abstract: Various embodiments provide systems and methods for facilitating synchronized delivery of shipments/items scheduled to be delivered to multiple serviceable points located nearby one another. Various embodiments identify nearby serviceable points based on an identification of serviceable points being logically clustered. Accordingly, various embodiments store a record for a serviceable point comprising data identifying the serviceable point and data identifying a second serviceable point. Thereafter, shipping data for a first shipment to be delivered to the serviceable point is received, and the record for the serviceable point is accessed to retrieve the data identifying the second serviceable point. A second shipment scheduled to be delivered to the second serviceable point is identified, and an indication is provided that the first and second shipments are eligible for synchronized delivery.

  • Patent number: 11367983
Abstract: A connection system for a quantum computer that employs constant impedance connectors with attenuation or filtering components or both embedded therein or within an adaptor removably insertable within an adaptor housing for use in a cryogenically cooled quantum computer. The connection system provides a higher density of cables traversing through a hermetic sealed top plate, and which are accessible to chill blocks to reduce the thermal energy from the signal lines. Attenuators or filter circuits are embedded in the constant impedance connector housings, or provided in adaptors that connect on each end to form mating constant impedance connections, in order to reduce signal strength as the signal progresses through the cryogenic environment and to remove extraneous electrical signal noise.

  • Patent number: 11365566
Abstract: A motor vehicle door lock includes a locking mechanism having a rotary latch, a pawl, and an actuating lever mechanism having at least one coupling lever rotatable about an axis and a mass inertia element rotatable about an additional axis spaced apart from the axis of the coupling lever to guide the coupling lever, at least in the event of an accident. The coupling lever in its “engaged” position connects the actuating lever mechanism mechanically with the locking mechanism and in its “disengaged” position ensures that the actuating lever mechanism is locked and/or separated from the locking mechanism. The mass inertia element has a guide contour for the coupling lever that interacts with a contact contour of the coupling lever so that the guide contour and/or contact contour is configured so that a force exerted upon it runs essentially tangentially to the diameter of the associated axis.
