Abstract: A high performance computing system that includes a shared fabric memory and a plurality of processors is disclosed. A first processor is coupled to a local storage and executes a first process that, in combination with other processes, causes the plurality of processors to perform certain actions including transferring, from the shared fabric memory to the local storage, a first value corresponding to a first cell of a first set of cells and a first sweep of a stencil code. The actions further include transferring, from a first logical partition in the shared fabric memory associated with the first cell to the local storage, a second value corresponding to a second cell related to the first cell and not in the first set of cells. Further, these actions include updating, by the first process, the first value based on at least the first value and the second value.

In one implementation, the body and the core may be retained relative to one another by a bayonet connector radially spaced from interior sides of the bat barrel by at least 0.3 inch. In one implementation, the body may include a cup having a mouth and receiving the core. In one implementation, the cup is to be radially spaced from interior sides of the bat barrel by at least 0.3 inch. In one implementation, the mouth is axially recessed. In one implementation, the cup and the core are joined by a bayonet connector having a U-shaped slot facing away from a mouth of the cup.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of making a paper product having Improved printing characteristics. This is achieved by forming a fibrous substrate, and applying a surface treatment which comprises an aqueous composition. Notably, the aqueous composition includes surface enhanced pulp fibers, with the placement of the surface enhanced pulp fibers optimizing their functionality, with surface placement by use of a paper machine size press desirably facilitating a reduction in the typical starch usage. The present method comprising the steps of providing a aqueous slurry comprising a blend of cellulosic fibers and water and dewatering the aqueous slurry of cellulosic fibers and water to form a fibrous substrate.

Abstract: Embodiments contemplate TDD systems and techniques where timeslots may be allocated as DL, UL, or FDSC; the base station (BS) may be full duplex singled channel (FDSC) capable; and some, all, or none of the UEs (or WTRUs) may be FDSC capable. In one or more embodiments, FDSC1 timeslots may be contemplated that may be used (in some embodiments perhaps exclusively used) by a pair of radios, for example one BS and one UE, both having FD capability. In one or more embodiments, FDSC timeslots may be shared among a BS with FDSC capability and two or more UEs, that may be half duplex (HD). Embodiments also contemplate various FDD systems and techniques, including full duplex FDD systems and techniques.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for allowing a mobile device user's location and or identity to be determined. According to one aspect of the disclosure, a method of creating a database comprises providing a first wireless router at a point of sale where a credit card is used in a transaction by a credit card holder, obtaining an identity of the credit card holder during the credit card transaction, establishing a wireless link between the first router and a mobile device carried by the credit card holder, obtaining a Media Access Control (MAC) address associated with the credit card holder's mobile device over the wireless link, correlating the identity of the credit card holder with the MAC address of the credit card holder, and storing the correlated identity and MAC address on a server. In some embodiments, a cellular identifier is obtained rather than a MAC address.

Abstract: A potato cultivar designated FL 2512 is disclosed. The invention relates to tubers of potato cultivar FL 2512, to seeds of potato cultivar FL 2512, to plants and plant parts of potato cultivar FL 2512, to food products produced from potato cultivar FL 2512, and to methods for producing a potato plant by crossing potato cultivar FL 2512 with itself or with another potato variety. The invention also relates to methods for producing a transgenic potato plant and to the transgenic potato plants and parts produced by those methods. This invention also relates to potato plants and plant parts derived from potato cultivar FL 2512, to methods for producing other potato plants or plant parts derived from potato cultivar FL 2512 and to the potato plants and their parts derived from use of those methods. The invention further relates to hybrid potato tubers, seeds, plants and plant parts produced by crossing potato cultivar FL 2512 with another potato cultivar.

Abstract: A pressure vessel includes a first (base or innermost) layer composed of a resin-impregnated woven sleeve with chopped basalt fibers assembled in the voids of the sleeve and impregnated with an epoxy resin. A second and third layer is composed of continuous basalt fiber filaments arranged in a helical pattern, with the helical angle of the second layer being not equal to that of the third layer. A fourth layer is composed of continuous basalt fibers arranged in a hoop pattern. The fifth (outermost) layer is composed of randomly oriented chopped basalt fibers impregnated with a resin matrix and compacted with the subsequent wound filaments at up to ten pounds of tension.

Abstract: A method for providing seamless redundancy in an output data stream includes the steps of: receiving a first data stream originating from a first location, the first data stream being conveyed over a first network path; receiving at least a second data stream originating from a second location that is geographically distinct from the first location, the second data stream comprising nominally identical content relative to the first data stream, the second data stream being conveyed over a second network path that is topologically distinct from the first network path; and combining first data segments from the first data stream and second data segments from the second data stream to generate a single, uninterrupted output data stream having a reduced likelihood of overlapping, missing and/or corrupt data segments.

Abstract: A valve arrangement includes various improvements usable in the context of a fluid additive system, such as a water softener. For example, the valve assembly may include a seal assembly engaged by a reciprocating piston, in which the seal assembly includes a minimal number of parts, is easily assembled, and can be easily inserted in the bore of the valve body without jeopardizing the integrity of the seals. The valve assembly may further include a quick-disconnect system which allows a “control head” including a valve actuation system and electronic controls to be disconnected from the rest of the valve arrangement with only a partial rotation of the control head. The valve assembly may also include a venturi used for drawing regeneration fluid into the system, and an associated venturi cleaner system which allows a user to unclog the fluid-flow orifice of the venturi without any disassembly of parts of the valve arrangement.

Abstract: A gear shifter assembly for a vehicle is described herein. The gear shifter assembly includes a base to be fixed in a vehicle, a shifter yoke mounted to the base by a main pivot shaft, a shift lever mounted to the shifter yoke by a pivotal bearing arranged to allow pivotal movements about a second pivotal axis perpendicular to the first pivotal axis, and an intermediate joint that provides the pivotal bearing of the shift lever. The intermediate joint is attached to the lower end of the shift lever by receiving select pivot pins projecting from the shift lever in recesses of the intermediate joint. The intermediate joint comprises opposite through holes aligned with an aperture in the shift lever for receiving the main pivot shaft. The intermediate joint is made of material having a lower modulus of elasticity than the materials of the shift lever and the shifter yoke.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide intelligent predictive stream caching for live, linear, or video-on-demand streaming content using prefetching, segmented caching, and request clustering. Prefetching involves retrieving streaming content segments from an origin server prior to the segments being requested by users. Prefetching live or linear streaming content segments involves continually reissuing requests to the origin until the segments are obtained or a preset retry duration is completed. Prefetching is initiated in response to a first request for a segment falling within a particular interval. Request clustering commences thereafter. Subsequent requests are queued until the segments are retrieved. Segmented caching involves caching segments for one particular interval. Segments falling within a next interval are not prefetched until a first request for one such segment in the next interval is received.

Abstract: A dose counter for an inhaler includes a counter display arranged to indicate dosage information, and a drive system arranged to move the counter display incrementally in a first direction from a first station to a second station in response to actuation input. A regulator is provided which is arranged to act upon the counter display at the first station to regulate motion of the counter display at the first station to incremental movements.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that manages access to a computer-based resource. During operation, the system obtains a request for the computer-based resource, wherein the request identifies a user seeking access to the computer-based resource. Next, the system obtains a set of security levels for a set of identity-proofing techniques, wherein the set of security levels is based on a first set of success rates of the identity-proofing techniques in preventing fraudulent access to computer-based resources. The system then calculates an identity assurance level for the user based on the set of security levels and a second set of success rates of the user in completing one or more of the identity-proofing techniques. Upon determining that the identity assurance level of the user meets a minimum identity assurance level for accessing the computer-based resource, the system enables access to the computer-based resource in a response to the request.

Abstract: A system to facilitate communication, in some embodiments, comprises a controller, storage in communication with the controller and storing resources available to the controller, and a plurality of wearable devices in wireless communication with the controller and with each other. Each of the plurality of wearable devices receives input and provides the input to at least one of the controller or another one of the plurality of wearable devices. The controller performs an action based at least on the resources and the input.

A cloud network management device can receive a first set of infrastructure specifications describing a first client networking environment. The cloud network management device can determine a set of recommended configurations for the first client networking environment based on the first set of infrastructure specifications and configurations for one or more client networking environments determined to be similar to the first client networking environment. The cloud network management device can provide the set of recommended configurations to a client device associated with the first client networking environment.
