  • Patent number: 10547779
Abstract: An apparatus is described. The apparatus includes a smart image sensor having a memory and a processor that are locally integrated with an image sensor. The memory is to store first program code to be executed by the processor. The memory is coupled to the image sensor and the processor. The memory is to store second program code to be executed by the processor. The first program code is to cause the smart image sensor to perform an analysis on one or more images captured by the image sensor. The analysis identifies a region of interest within the one or more images with machine learning from previously captured images. The second program code is to cause the smart image sensor to change an image sensing and/or optical parameter in response to the analysis of the one or more images performed by the execution of the first program code.

  • Patent number: 10545761
Abstract: Instructions and logic provide SIMD permute controls with leading zero count functionality. Some embodiments include processors with a register with a plurality of data fields, each of the data fields to store a second plurality of bits. A destination register has corresponding data fields, each of these data fields to store a count of the number of most significant contiguous bits set to zero for corresponding data fields. Responsive to decoding a vector leading zero count instruction, execution units count the number of most significant contiguous bits set to zero for each of data fields in the register, and store the counts in corresponding data fields of the first destination register. Vector leading zero count instructions can be used to generate permute controls and completion masks to be used along with the set of permute controls, to resolve dependencies in gather-modify-scatter SIMD operations.

  • Patent number: 10546139
Abstract: In methods, systems, and computing devices configured to implement methods of conveying a data file from a first computing device to a second computing device. A referential complex dataset (RCD) is stored in memory of a first computing device and a second computing device. The first computing device may compare bit strings within a data file to bit strings within the RCD to identify a matching bit string in the RCD, generate a set of rules for locating the matched bit string in the RCD, and transmit the rule set to the second computing device. The second computing device may receive the rule set, sequentially use each rule in the rule set to identify corresponding bit strings in the RCD in memory, and copy the identified bit strings into a memory to replicate the data file.

  • Patent number: 10547656
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to real-time streaming of large quantities of time critical data over multiple distinct networks from a wireless communications device. More specifically, embodiments described herein may address challenges and problems of maintaining consistent data reception quality when faced with the anomalies of a moving sender that is sending data using a relatively unstable radio frequency (RF) method. This may be achieved by converting single source data into multiple data streams, placing them in transport buffers and storing them for forwarding. A plurality radio frequency interface modules provide wireless connectivity to a plurality of wireless networks for transmission over the plurality of networks. Links are maintained to provide feedback on network connections to allow for the transfer of data from one network to another, from one radio frequency interface module to another, and to adjust the amount of data being transmitted.

  • Patent number: 10545974
Abstract: Addressed herein is the problem of expressing and evaluating computations on hierarchies represented as database tables. Engine support for such computations is very limited today, and so they are usually outsourced into stored procedures or client code. Structural grouping is applied to relational algebra to provide concise syntax to express a class of useful computations. Algorithms are also provided to evaluate such structural groupings efficiently by exploiting available indexing schemes. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

  • Patent number: 10547935
Abstract: Offset cartridge microphones are provided that include multiple unidirectional microphone cartridges mounted in an offset geometry. Various desired polar patterns and/or desired steering angles can be formed by processing the audio signals from the multiple cartridges, including a toroidal polar pattern. The offset geometry of the cartridges may include mounting the cartridges so that they are immediately adjacent to one another and so that their center axes are offset from one another. The microphones may have a more consistent on-axis frequency response and may more uniformly form desired polar patterns and/or desired steering angles by reducing the interference and reflections within and between the cartridges.
