  • Publication number: 20180299100
Abstract: A luminaire module delivers light with a beam angle of ?. The luminaire module includes a light emitting module and a reflector positioned symmetrically about an axis. Light produced by the light emitting module exits the light emitting module from one or more spatially-extended light emitting portions. The light emitting portion(s) is (are) fully contained within a spatially extended notional design envelope which is used to guide the design of reflector and its corresponding reflective surface, such that when any light exiting the light emitting portions through the design envelope strikes the reflective surface of the reflector, the light does not return to the source and escapes from the luminaire module within a beam angle ?, with no more than a single reflection from a reflector.

  • Publication number: 20180300660
Abstract: Embodiments provide techniques, including systems and methods, for allowing providers to claim scheduled rides. For example, a provider (e.g., a driver) may review and claim scheduled rides through a scheduled rides interface before the scheduled ride is ready to be provided. The scheduled rides provided through the scheduled ride interface may be limited to those requests that are associated with areas and times that have a lower chance of successfully being matched at the request time. Accordingly, scheduled requests may be filtered from a real-time scheduled ride feed based on the chance of successfully matching a scheduled ride at the time of the request and may be targeted to candidate providers for review and claiming by the candidate providers.

  • Publication number: 20180302556
Abstract: Systems and methods may provide for capturing 360 degree video, and multi-resolution encoding, processing and displaying of the video based on a field of view (FOV) and region of interest (ROI) for a viewer. The ROI may be determined based on eye tracking information (ETI) and the video may be encoded for viewports within the FOV at a high resolution and for other viewports outside the FOV at a lower resolution. ROI in the video may be encoded at a high resolution and areas outside of the ROI may be encoded at a lower resolution. The ETI enables the selective display of one or more warnings based on the gaze of a user to improve the efficiency of the warning. 3D glasses having variable lens may be used to adjust the focal distance of a virtual display to match a virtual distance of an object based on stereo distance cues.

  • Publication number: 20180302173
Abstract: Various embodiments of the system and method relate to improvements in co-channel interference mitigation in shared spectrum environments operating under the aegis of a Spectrum Access System and companion database. Implementation orchestrates, detects, and obtains noise measurements from a potentially-affected receiver utilizing programmed reduction of transmitted power from a potential interferer when the two entities connect over the Internet or other communication network. Receivers and transmitters may use the method with the same or different Physical Layers (PHYs) and protocols. In one embodiment, a momentary reduction of transmitter power is noted during which putative interference is measured at the receiver. In another embodiment, an isolated burst is sent from a not-yet commissioned transmitter to contemporaneously detect possible interference at an operating receiver. A third embodiment can be used to measure and mitigate interference from a stationary mobile transmitter.

Preferably, the elevated and ergonomic work surface/top is sturdy, rigid and has little or no flex and brings object(s) supported thereby closer to the user's face eliminating or significantly reducing the user leaning over to a position not conducive to proper posture. The top includes contoured/curved/angled sections that provide comfortable and versatile resting surfaces allowing an individual to rest both of his or her arms on for prolong periods without experiencing soreness or other undesirable consequences. The work bench can be portable, collapsible and removably mounted on a primary work structure.
