  • Patent number: 9931181
Abstract: A frictionally-retained detachable dental attachment assembly or anchor device is designed to attach a dental appliance with a tooth root or implant. The assembly includes a denture attachment housing for securing in the dental appliance, an abutment attached with a tooth root or implant, and a compressible retention member with a first end in fixed attachment with the cap and a second end in snap engagement with the abutment via a frictionally-retained ball secured within a cavity of the abutment. The retention member is formed using a compressible material to allow the ball to compress and the retention member to flex while inserting the ball into the cavity. Additional friction-retained and fixed attachment configurations of the dental anchor device are provided, along with methods of securing a dental appliance in a subject's mouth by means of the friction-retained and fixed attachment dental anchor devices.

  • Patent number: 9936493
Abstract: A method for optimizing network traffic that is delivered to a client via a RAN is disclosed. The method includes: receiving, at a first node, a request for content transmitted by the client, including an indication pertaining to a first traffic optimization functionality into the request, and forwarding the modified request to a second node located upstream. At the second node, receiving the request and forwarding the request to a server. At the second node, receiving downlink traffic related to the request, optimizing the downlink traffic, and forwarding the downlink traffic to the first node. In optimizing the downlink traffic, the second node omits traffic optimization functionality corresponding to the first traffic optimization functionality. The first node then receives the downlink traffic, optimizes the downlink traffic, and forwards the optimized downlink traffic to the client.

  • Patent number: 9931840
Abstract: Print head jet stack heating and temperature measurement systems and methods are disclosed that both heat the jet stack and determine a temperature of the jet stack. The heating and temperature determination are performed by a flex circuit that includes multiple layers. One of the layers heats the jet stack and another one of the layers provides data that determines the temperature of the jet stack. The heating layer and the temperature sensing layer are separated by an insulative material in the flex circuit. The temperature of the jet stack can be sent to a print head controller that then determines whether to increase or decrease the temperature of the jet stack.
