  • Publication number: 20160374847
Abstract: A protective dressing includes an outer dressing and an adhesive layer. The outer dressing includes an opening and a cavity sized to receive a phase-change material (PCM) insert inserted through the opening. The adhesive layer is configured to adhere to a patient's skin surrounding an anatomic site. When adhered to the patient's skin, the PCM insert modifies the patient's skin at the anatomic site. The PCM insert may be removed and replaced with another PCM insert. For example, a warm PCM insert may be replaced with a refrigerated PCM insert. The opening of the outer dressing may be self-sealing. The opening of the outer dressing may be sealed with an upper layer dressing coupled to the PCM cooling insert.

  • Publication number: 20160378807
Abstract: The technology described herein provides for storing and retrieving data in a bit vector search index. The bit vector search index stores data about terms from documents using bit vectors. Each bit vector comprises an array of bits and corresponds to a different set of terms. Each bit in the bit vector is used to represent whether a document includes at least one term from the set of terms. A band table is used to store bit vector configurations for bands of terms having similar term characteristics. Each term is indexed in the bit vector search index according to a bit vector configuration for a band to which it belongs. When identifying bit vector storage locations for terms, explicit mappings are used for some terms and ad hoc approaches used for other terms. Explicit mappings provide specific locations for terms, while ad hoc approaches use mapping algorithms assigned to bands.

  • Publication number: 20160380545
Abstract: An energy efficient apparatus includes a switching device, a frequency dependent reactive device, and a control element is provided. The switching device is coupled to a source of electrical power and includes a pair of transistors and is adapted to receive a control signal and to produce an alternating current power signal. The frequency of the alternating current power signal is responsive to the control signal. The frequency dependent reactive device is electrically coupled to the pair of transistors for receiving the alternating current power signal and producing an output power signal. The frequency dependent reactive device is chosen to achieve a desired voltage of the output power signal relative to the frequency of the alternating current power signal. The control element senses an actual voltage of the direct current power signal and modifies the control signal delivered to achieve the desired voltage of the direct current power signal.

  • Publication number: 20160378731
Abstract: A monitoring system intelligently captures Document Object Model (DOM) events. The DOM events may provide state information that may not usually be captured during a web session. To reduce processing bandwidth, content identifiers may be used to represent some DOM events. Checkpoints may be identified during the web session and a current state of the webpage may be captured to provide replay synchronization. Different data may be captured based on a sequence and timing of the DOM events during the original web session. Data exchanged with third party websites also may be selectively captured to provide a more through simulation of the original web session.
