The method comprises providing a strip of artificial turf (108) by attaching artificial turf fibers (120) to a substrate (110). The method further comprises acquiring optical data (162) descriptive of a surface (126) of the artificial turf using an optical sensor system (104). The method further comprises receiving a turf quality metric (166) in response to inputting the optical data into a computer vision module (164). The turf quality metric is descriptive of the presence of at least one of a predetermined list of manufacturing defects (700, 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200). The method further comprises labeling the strip of artificial turf (108) with the turf quality metric.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a physical entity operatively connected to a plurality of sensors. A microcontroller is configured to map a respective baseline position of the sensors. A virtual reality (VR) controller is adapted to create a digital twin of the physical entity. The microcontroller receives sensor data from the plurality of sensors and converts the sensor data into a respective position value. The microcontroller is adapted to determine, in a predefined priority order, if the respective position value has deviated from the respective baseline position. The VR controller generates an updated digital twin by updating a respective virtual position value in the digital twin based on a unique letter code. The updated digital twin is transmitted to a virtual reality medium or a mixed reality medium, operation of the physical entity being controlled in real-time based in part on the updated digital twin.

Abstract: A vehicle simulation system for evaluating occupant ergonomic considerations related to driving position, spaciousness and access includes a seating buck adapted to provide a simulated interior environment of a vehicle by providing adjustable positions for a seat, a steering wheel and pedals, and an access module adapted to moveably support the seating buck therein and to provide an adjustable seat to ground height for the seating buck, adjustable dimensions of a simulated door opening and an adjustable position of the simulated door opening relative to the seating buck.
