  • Publication number: 20190059568
Abstract: A brush with a top member having a first exterior surface, a first interior surface, and a plurality of first bristles extending from the first interior surface. The brush having a second member connected to the first member, the second member having a second exterior surface, a second interior surface, and a plurality of second bristles extending from the second interior surface. The first member and the second member are moveable relative to one another between a closed position in which the plurality of first bristles and the plurality of second bristles define an at least substantially cylindrical space there between, and an open position in which a gap defined by the space between the first member and the second member is larger than when the first member and the second member are in a closed position.

  • Publication number: 20080061923
Abstract: Security systems, such as in a home or other building, periodically transmit status data to a remote facility so that the remote facility is continuously informed of the security systems' status. A user interface device at one security system, or a web browser at a personal computer, can obtain information regarding, or provide commands to, one or more other security systems at remote locations by communicating with the remote facility. The remote facility also reports specified events, such as alarms, that occur at a security system to one or more other security systems. Other information, such as video and audio data from a security system, can also be provided to the remote facility for sharing with other security systems. An intercom feature can also be established via the remote facility.

  • Publication number: 20070214795
Abstract: A method and system for maintaining a limiting gas temperature in a gas turbine engine working fluid flowpath by monitoring the gas temperature and adjusting one or more parameters when the gas temperature exceeds a predetermined or a calculated temperature limit during engine operation. The parameters include one or more of a group of engine parameters including high and low pressure turbine nozzle flow areas, fan and core flow areas, and a rotor speed. The one or more parameters are adjusted to lower the gas temperature to below the temperature limit during engine operation. The limiting gas temperature may be a turbine exhaust gas temperature such as a high pressure turbine exhaust gas temperature. The turbine nozzle flow areas may be adjusted with variable nozzle vanes and the fan and core exhaust nozzle flow areas with a translatable fan nozzle cowling and a translatable core nozzle plug, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20070089424
Abstract: A gas turbine engine combustion system includes a plurality of fuel injectors circumferentially disposed around a combustor in a one to one fuel supply relationship with a plurality of fuel nozzle valves, and an electronic controller for controlling the fuel nozzle valves to eliminate and/or reduce hot streaking in response to sensed hot streak conditions. The fuel nozzle valves may be modulating valves. The electronic controller may be used to individually control the fuel nozzle valves. The hot streak conditions may be sensed with temperature sensors such as temperature sensors operably mounted in the combustor. A program in the electronic controller may be used for determining broken or malfunctioning sensors by calculating a combustor temperature and comparing it to measured temperatures from the sensors and comparing the measured fuel pressures in the individual fuel nozzle circuits with the simulated or calculated fuel pressures.

  • Publication number: 20070084185
Abstract: A method facilitates assembling a gas turbine engine. The method comprises coupling a low-pressure turbine rotatable about a drive shaft to a counter-rotating fan assembly including a first fan assembly and a second fan assembly wherein the first fan assembly rotates in a first direction and the second fan assembly rotates in an opposite second direction. The method also comprises coupling a planetary gearbox substantially circumferentially about the drive shaft such that an input of the gearbox is coupled to the low-pressure turbine and an output of the gearbox is coupled to the counter-rotating fan assembly, and such that the gearbox is positioned within a lubrication fluid sump that substantially circumscribes the gearbox.
