  • Patent number: 8246442
Abstract: A game of chance is disclosed that looks like a multi-line gaming machine having a matrix of rows and columns of positions for displaying slot symbols or cards to a player. A player wagers to play one or more games but the actual pay lines are dynamically determined by events that occur during the course of game play, not before. • Patent number: 7972207
Pay lines are dynamically determined during the course of game play dependent on choices made by the player during the course of game play. The player chooses ones or all of a first, randomly dealt set of slot symbols or cards in one row of the matrix to be held and used in the game play. The symbols or cards not held are discarded and a second, final draw of slot symbols or cards is done in the matrix, including the positions in the one row where cards were discarded. Pay lines are then established through the matrix that all pass through the held cards in the one row of the matrix.

  • Patent number: 7506873
Abstract: The novel video draw poker game disclosed utilizes a nine position card matrix in which two through four cards are initially dealt and displayed in one row at the start of game play. Pay lines pass through the nine positions. The player selects and holds ones of the initially dealt cards. After holding cards the non-held cards are replaced and other positions in the card matrix are filled to determine winning hands of cards along the pay lines.

  • Patent number: 7019644
Abstract: A security monitoring system providing security for mobile objects in any location, including children in a dining and child entertainment facility. The location of each object or child in the facility is tracked using a transmitter attached to the object or child when it/they enter the facility, and a video image of each child is mapped to and displayed on a video display at a table to which the child's family or group is assigned. Any unauthorized attempt at removing a child from the facility, or at a child attempting to leave the facility without authorization, or unauthorized removal of a transmitter, or a transmitter ceasing to operate, causes notification to be given to appropriate personnel and entrance/exits are locked until the child is located. Ordering of food and drinks is done using touch screen technology on the video display at each table. The transmitters can also be used to control access to video games or specific play areas as specified by a parent or guardian.

  • Patent number: 5980384
Abstract: A gaming apparatus and method are disclosed in which there is a primary game and a secondary game that are dynamically linked, and the primary game can be won independently of the secondary game. The primary game may be won on each play of the game, and the secondary game may be won over a plurality of plays of the primary game. Primary game symbols appearing during plays of the primary game may cause: (i) movement of primary game symbols to secondary game display positions; (ii) primary game symbols directing play options of secondary game symbols; (iii) changing the options open to the player in his or her attempt to win the secondary game; (iv) symbols in the primary game being used as soft buttons to affect movement of game symbols from the primary game to the secondary game, and between symbol display positions in the secondary game; and (v) secondary game symbols persisting to subsequent plays of the primary game to help the player to win at the secondary game.

  • Patent number: 4837728
Abstract: A rapidly incrementing multiple progressive gaming system. One or more gaming controllers are coupled to a progressive controller. Coin drop and win information at each gaming controller is provided to and accumulated by the progressive controller. Meter amounts generated at the progressive controller are transmitted back to the gaming controllers to provide multiple continually incrementing progressive bonus values. Upon game win, all gaming controllers not in play are reset to an initial starting value. Gaming controllers in play during a win are allowed to complete play at a progressive bonus value as established at beginning of game play. Any additional wins generated during the completion interval are paid at this progressive bonus value. A current progressive value is provided to update the game controller either continually or upon game completion. The game payouts are frozen upon detection of the coin drop so that the player knows the value(s) being played for.
