  • Patent number: 5715875
Abstract: A vapor recovery valve that includes two mechanisms for opening the valve is disclosed. The first mechanism opens the valve when fuel is being dispensed by a fuel delivery system. The second mechanism selectively opens the valve independent of whether the fuel delivery system is dispensing fuel. A method for dry testing a vapor recovery system is also disclosed. The method involves disabling the fuel dispensing capability of the fuel delivery system, and then operating the vapor recovery system at a rate that corresponds to a predetermined imaginary fuel dispensing rate. Next, the vapor recovery path is opened, and its operation is measured and determined if it is sufficient for the imaginary fuel delivery rate.

  • Patent number: 5664951
Abstract: A swivel adapter for an inlet conduit to an underground storage includes two relatively rotatable components. The relative rotation between the components prevents sealing loss between the adapter and the inlet conduit when the adapter is subjected to torque.
